Guys -

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna do it. I was able to buy my Dad's 3000GT VR4 for REALLY cheap, so I'm gonna strip my car and sell it and the turbo setup in anticipation of the new WRX. It's all about the turbo wagon.

Anyway, I planned on having my car in sometime during the next couple of weeks and I will be selling the stuff that comes off the car. I am going to try to sell the turbo kit as a whole (AFC, RRFPR, water injection, Boost Guage, exhaust) for around $2500. I'm keeping the coilovers, just in case they fit the new car. If they don't, I'll be selling them, too. (rats)

So, if you guys know anyone that is looking for boost, let me know.

How much did you pay for the 3000GT?

I paid $4500 for the VR4. It is a 91 with 78K miles. I got REAL lucky.

Good luck. Great job on the 3000GT, with all the money you saved you can buy yourself a lifetime supply of clutches... since those things seem to eat them for lunch. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

Probably a good choice to strip the car back to stock. Seeing that Mike's car hasn't sold, I don't think anyone is interested in someone elses work.

It seems like the VR4s munch clutches when you drive it like you stole it. I actually drive this car much more sedate than I drive my Scoobie. I'm not comfortable with the "big car" feel.

what's the fun of owning a car if you don't drive it like you stole it (on occasion at least) http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/cool.gif http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

Good point. I'm sure I'll get to that point sooner or later. Regardless of the car, I always seem to end up there.
