I have a deposit down at a Houston area dealership (I know the salesman), but was wondering if anyone had any luck around this area? I imagine they will be really increasing the price in an area like Colorado.
I called the Sub dealership in Colorado Springs and the guy didn't want to talk at all over the phone about any details. He wanted me to drive down and give him a deposit though.

You might want to keep the one in Huston as a backup contract. Scuttlebutt is that at least 10 months of the years supply is already sold.
At least you could get that much out of them. The guys I have talked to haven't even KNOWN what the WRX was. I've never been too impressed with this dealer.

Hey Paul, you are right about the dealers around here. The guy at Heuberger in Colorado SPrings said he already sold 3 of them, which sounded a little odd to me. Let me know if you are interested and I'll give you John Loving's number (he's the sales guy at Gillman Subaru in Houston). I am the only one with a deposit down (as of 2 days ago anyway) at that dealership, so your chances of getting one soon are good. Of course I still haven't figured out how I will get the car here... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif

I don't have any information about their pricing yet, but I had lunch with my salesman
(John Novak - a great guy!) at Heuberger Motors here in Colorado Springs and he indicated that he had not had a lot of inquiries about the WRX yet. I told him I was willing to put a deposit down, but he told me to wait till he got some more information. This dealer does a lot of Subaru volume and always has RS's on hand. They know I am serious about buying the car, so I'm sure that if they had lots of buy orders already they would have let me know and took my deposit. Because of this I doubt that many of the WRX's are pre-sold already. I am concerned about their pricing though. They also sell VW and I remember when the new Beetle came out they tacked on an additional $2,500 when they were in high demand!

ahofle,
Hi there. Your brother Steven in Houston is buying my Tein Springs! I am supposed to give them to your parents when they visit you this weekend, after I take them off my car Saturday. He said he'd send them with the money. But, then I emailed him twice (yest and today) and didn't hear back yet. Did he say anything to you? I am getting coil-overs eventually, and better brake immediately...
I also told him to tell you about http://www.egroups.com/group/SPCR for Subaru Performance Club of the Rockies.

Impreza dot com,
I haven't heard back from Steve regarding my emails either. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif Yes he told me about your springs. He just got a computer and probably isn't used to checking his email every day. Anyway, email me (andy.hofle@wcom.com) and we'll work out a meeting time/place for the exchange. And thanks for the info and website!
PunksRS,
That's very interesting about John Novak. Obviously I must've talked to one of his less honest coworkers. Please let us know if you find out anything about pricing. I'm sure we'll all hear something this month after the WRX is offically announced at the auto shows. Have you decided on color/options?
See ya,
Andy
