Let's just say I just hope the WRX rides as well. If I'm not mistaken he was only running at 4 psi? I can't imagine what acceleration will feel like when he bumps it up higher. Also, could really feel the difference the Tein springs made on cornering. If anyone is even remotely considering putting a turbo in your RS, you should definitely let Larry take you for a spin!

Yeah, I'm sure it's a great ride. I don't think there are many of us left who haven't gotten a ride in a turbo'd RS... they're everywhere in CO... http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/rolleyes.gif You can do that in a stock car. The turbo just helps you get there faster http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/tongue.gif

All kidding aside, you can go to jail for that. Just ask John at JCSports how he had to bail out his friend in the Talon.

I know that those of you who know me are most likely thinking that I am the LAST person that should be talking about this, but 130 on the 'I' seems a bit excessive, no? Maybe I'm just getting old...

i just had fun riding in a turbo RS, and you can have alot happen to you if the cops are simply having a bad day, period. :P especially if you are my age, and hell even larry's age too. it wasnt 130+ the whole way either, just showing me how well the turbo worked. so :P i just had a good convincing ride that showed me how much i need a turbo, when i get mine i expect to go faster.

Yeah, my RS is feeling way too slow lately... *sigh* Ah well. Factory turbo... 227hp... 14lbs of boost... I dunno, those are pretty enticing numbers. If it wasn't so damn ugly, I wouldn't even be thinking about, I'd have money down... maybe next year.

Dave, sweet!! Those turbo DSM's are nice, but handle like pigs out of the box. I'd encourage you to hae her modify the car, but then it'll be ALOT faster than your car http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

I know they can be quick...I just 'sold' a 1990 Eclipse GSX. I had an aftermarket boost guage K&N, chopped air box, and manual boost controller. And man would it PULL at 14psi at sea-level! Wish the sube was that fast out of the box.
When I first bought the MY99 RS I thought that my Eclipse handled much better, but now that I'm used to the sube its so much BETTER! (no thanks to the KYB's and Adj. whiteline sway bar) http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif I cant wait till I've got some horsepower to back it up. Just trying to decice when I want to void the warranty. Hmmmmm....tomorrow sounds good for 225HP http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

My MY99 felt quick until this weekend when my girlfriend bought a Mitsubishi GS-T. Hers is now faster than mine (I can out handle it any day though) http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif
Time to get that turbo installed!!! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/wink.gif

If you're considering turbocharging your car, start by installing some accessories in the mean time. For example: In the dressup forum there's a post about doing a custom guage pack that looks real nice. I'm going to start there and if everything goes as planned I'll have 5-7 psi in a few short months...although I'll bet they'll feel like the longest months ever. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif
