Hello all! I've just moved down here from Canada, and have opted to also ship my car down as well! Can anybody tell me about the area, what dealership is good for service, etc....

Any info would be helpful. Thanks!

Kelvin

Welcome!!

Sorry I can't help you with picking dealerships or service centers because I'm all the way up in Ft. Collins. If you were up here I'd suggest Nice Car (a privately owned and opperated Subaru repair shop). They're great guys and know their stuff.

Ok here's my suggestions and yes WELCOME http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smile.gif http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/biggrin.gif

Dealer: Burt Subaru on Broadway in Littleton/Englewood

Service Shop (Independent)- Metro Suburban Auto Service (they do Subes only) Colfax and Sheridan in Lakewood. This guy IS THE ONLY ONE I TRUST WITH MY CAR. My family and I have known him for many years and have had MANY Scoobies serviced there. My 85 GL and my 00 RS, My Parents 90 Legacy, My Aunt's 92 and 95 Legacy, etc.

Wow, thanks for the warm welcome, guys! (and girls, if some of you happen to be, and I'm just dumb)

I'm still new to the area, but I guess it's considered the Denver Metro (at least that's what the AT&T web site said when I checked for digital cable access) I'm located right near the Park Meadows mall...

As of this posting, my car has not arrived yet -- the truck should be arriving in Denver sometime tomorrow or the weekend, so here's hoping that the car makes it without any problems!

Oh yeah, one other thing... are there are any aftermarket performance shops for our cars here locally? Or have most of your mods come by way of Mike's Garage, or RalliSpec or Challenger Deep? Inquiring minds want/need to know...

Thanks again!

And by the way, if anybody wanders through the member list, and finds my name under Canada | Ontario | Mississauga, that's me, I just can't remember the passwords to change my details for the life of me!

Welcome to Colorado! Check www.jcsports.net (http://www.jcsports.net) for local tuners. They're having a re-grand openning next week. That'll be the time to show up and meet everyone. At least I think most of us are planning to be there.

You should also sign up for the SPCR mailing list. (Subaru Performance Club of the Rockies)
http://www.egroups.com/group/SPCR

And if you want autocross info, go to...
www.rmsolo.org (http://www.rmsolo.org)

Rallycross info at...

Have fun!

A good place for service is Roo's only on 1st and Federal. They have done some work on mine and they used factory parts and only work on Subaru's.

The parts dept guys at Elway on Arapahoe next to the Lexus place is good and they remember who you are and know your name.

Bought my car at Burt and really got the run around from them when I went to pick it up. Car dirty, no emmision test. Just lots of excuses.

Welcome

Rich

An excellent source for Subaru parts even if the're on the east coast is RalliSpec@RalliSpec.com The boys are top-notch and won't try to sell you what you don't need.

And welcome to the jungle...

Welcome to the neighborhood. I would definately suggest making it to the JCSports event next weekend. I'm sure there will be quite a few of us around.

Regarding dealers - I don't think there is an outstanding dealer here. There are just a few individuals at the dealerships that are worth more than a common houseplant. Jon Eric at Flatirons is a good contact to have.

JCS does routine maintenance on Subarus and at a cheaper labor rate then the independent and dealership stores!

Thanks for all the info, guys! I'd love to be able to meet some or all of you guys sometime. It'll probably just have to be sometime after I settle in -- which is this coming Monday, January 22, when my car finally arrives!

Cheers, guys.
