I am going to post this in another forum just to see if others have been messed with as well. Most of you Utah guys know what s going on so I will spare the long description. Well, it seems Subaru will do nothing about Mark Miller messing up my car. Here is the letter from Subaru.

Dear Mr. Benson:

Thank you for your patience while I looked into your situation. As you may
know, dealerships are independently owned and operated. Because of this,
they are responsible for their workmanship and diagnoses. If you have a
concern with the work the dealership performed on your vehicle, you need to
address it with the management at the dealership. Unfortunately, Subaru of
America, Inc. is not in a position to assist you financially with the
repairs. However, I have made a note of your concerns in our customer
dealer services system.

Thank you,
William/WER/Customer Dealer Services
Case number 286347

I don't think my next car will be a Subaru. I love them but the warranty sucks and dealers have screwed me many times. And Subaru will do nothing about bad dealers. Other makes don't tollerate that *****. So I will just have to pray for a cheap turbo AWD car to be imported other than the WRX. Maybe Ford, Mitsu, or Toyota will come through. I don't really like any of them as much, but I don't make enough money to throw it away fixing dealer problems.

What happened? I have received good service from the two dealers I go through: Larry H. Miller and Barber Brothers of Orem.

I just saw your other post... What kind of damage has occured to your car besides it just overheating? Did the belt slip and bend valves or is it just not running properly? I would be happy to help you replace the timing belt if thats all that needs to occur. I did the timing belt on my car while doing cams, they aren't hard at all. I am sorry I was not aware of the timing belt replacement, otherwise I would have chimed in earlier. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/frown.gif Get your $$ back on the dealer install, and we can install a new timing belt if it comes to that.

Good Luck!

The only serious thing is that my head gasket may be bad now which the dealer (like I'll go there again) wants $1200 just for labor to do. And the fact that I had to pay $160 for 2 new belts, $55 for a new water pump, $140 for a new timing belt tensioner, $500 for labor to do **** twice, $170 to get my cooling system cleaned out good, about $30 in anti-freeze for emptying the system 5 or 6 times, and about 24 hours of being soaked in anti-freeze working on my own car that shouldn't have been broken. I am really hoping A head didn't get warped in the process.

I really like Nate Wade service. Noah hates them because they joy rided his car and bragged about it. But they wanted $100 more to do the job. Probably would have save me thousands though if my head is warped and gasket is bad.

So they had you pay for it twice to get it correct? Are all those parts because of them as well? I would assume you have spoken with the service manager? If he was no help, go up to the dealership manager. If none of them are any help, I think a lawyer would be a good option; going from the other post. There is no way you should be paying for it twice, let alone paying for extra parts because they did it wrong the first time. Possibly try calling SOA directly?

...And there is definitely no way you should be paying for headwork if they are at fault.

Sorry about the edits - you were too close to being caught by the language filter that Imprezer set up and I had a problem with complaints. Sorry about your car troubles. Is it okay to say, that sucks? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/rolleyes.gif
