1. Do you know if these are perfectly legal in Mass.? I don't think they are, but I'm just a dumb kid.

2. Does the RED color clash with my Sedona paint?

1. I don't know if they are considered legal, but the decals are only 4" high. When inside the car only 2-3" of the decal is seen because Subaru has it's own black border around the windshield.

2. Don't think the RED is a perfect match to Sedona red. I've been searching for a colour that matches perfectly but I've yet to find it. I'd recommend using a black background, as that looks good on almost every color.

Are you able to make these small enough to fit on the rear side windows of a GC8 2-door
I'm looking for something like the older Subaru Rally cars had where on the bottom of the side window was SUBARU in silver with a solid black background

Totally uncalled for. Seriously, what's wrong with people taking pride in the manufacturer of their car? This is not the place to critize the styling preferences of your fellow Impreza owners. Go to "Dress-up and style" for that...

was just checking out your site, very minor bug note: The Mugen decal previews are reversed for the Black/Red and Blue/White decals. Thought you might want to know. Any plans to manufacture decals other names associated with suabaru/WRC cars? (e.g. prodrive, 555, something with the stars logo, small uk300 logo, etc.) I would like to have a half size license plate in the front with a prodrive logo on it. Anyone know where this could be found? I have had friends that make there own but after a while it just looks crappy. I want quality. Thanks

Thanks for notifying me about the bug, I'll get it fixed asap. As for different subaru specific logos, I already have many. Just haven't had time to update the website with all products I have available. I have prodrive, 555, swrt, etc. artworks on file. Let me know with what you need and I'll do my best to take care of you. I also can make custom engraved acrylic license plate frames. Some i-club members already have STi engraved license plate frames I offered a while ago. I've included a pic of one of them.

Since this decail is being applied to the outside [which is really odd since most decals of this type are applied to the inside], how does it stand up to the test of time, theft, car washes, wear and tear, etc? I'd like a decal [mainly becuase Subaru lacked the intelligence to put tint to block out the sun], but I'd like something that's going to last and stay in place under real world situations...

Actually, the real subaru decals found on the rally car go on the outside, and are made of the same material I use to make the decals. The vinyl is specifically engineered to adhere very securely and endure all the harsh conditions nature can throw at it. It is the same material used for signage, so the colour is fade-resistant up to 6 years.

The wipers will hit the decal, but where it hits is minimal. Also, it's thin enough so it won't hinder your wipers performance. As for the applying the decal, make sure to use lots of soap and water. Take your time trimming and squeegeeing, and it'll turn out fine.

Are your decals made up of a 2 part process - the top logo design is applied [taped] to the main background? Or is it silkscreened / printed on the background? In addtion - do your decals have a sticky backing or non-stick backing [probably safe to assume non-stick since you have to use soap/water/squeegee]?

I'm asking these questions as I ordered [long before your post] a viynl window decal from an i-club vendor that uses a true fit design with what appears to be a 2 part process - front logo "taped" onto the background. The background also has a sticky surface [which I have a feeling will be a PITA unless it's installed right the first time].

The decals are vinyl on vinyl constructs. The letters and logos are made out of vinyl, and are applied to the background vinyl which is shaped to the windshield. The decals have a sticky backing, but the vinyl is engineered to be used with application fluid (soap and water) so installers can squeegee away all the imperfections. The decals I provide already have the letters and logos on the background, which reduces one step.

It is similar, but the text in this decal is not curved. This would make the text seem to be sagging down at the ends. Also, the text in this decal is out of proportion to the actual design. I will take a pic today of the decal before I ship it out.

I have a question about the trimming. It's best to get the decal on the car first and then trim around the edge with a razor blade or something, right?

PS The decal I bought from m20grafix looks much cleaner than the one above IMHO

Yet it is best to apply the decal and sort of crease the vinyl to the windshield edge with you squeegee. Also when using an x-acto knife to cut, make sure to the use the end of the windshield as a guide, and take your time :)

spt, I did add the new colours to the i-club special page. Please try refreshing the page, maybe you are still accessing the page stored on your hd, IE has a tendancy to do that. As for the silver, it's just the lighting the pictures were taken in. Silver is a very metallic colour, which reflects the light. Also, I took the pictures with my new camera, so they are better quality :) I e-mailed you back as well.

Hey - I didn't get a 5" wide m20-grafix.com Decal with my order!! :)

Just want to say the window decal is top notch, high quality, looked excellent on my WRX and helped block out the sunlight. However...

How long do you have to wait for the decal to dry before it flies off at high-speed? :D

I installed the decal per the instructions during a non-rainy cloudy day and let it sit overnight [day temp ~45 degrees F, night temp ~35 degrees F]. During one of my UTEC load runs the next day at about 70 MPH [it was raining all day], the decal flew up and off of the front windshield and landed all crumpled up in a ditch on the side of the road. :(

The instructions aren't clear as to minimum installation temperature, ambient conditions [not raining - duh], or how long it takes for the decal to completely dry [should you use a hair-dryer in humid conditions]?

Whatever the case, looks like I'll be ordering another one.

Owen,

I guess I forgot to add the m20-grafix.com decal. I should have outlined how long it takes to dry, which I will do now on my instructions. E-mail me your address and decal info, and I'll send you a new one for free :)

Thanks. I wasn't expecting a freebie as it was pure dumb luck murphy's law. If I can at least help pay for part of the decal/shipping costs, let me know.

Hi Chris, I just got back to the office on the 2nd, so please allow me a few days to catch up. You should receive a UPS shipping notification in a day or two when your decal ships.

Thanks,
Tim

I ordered one of these before Christmas and got it in about 5 days. The decal was easy to fit (by myself) but it remained moveable for most of the day.

LEAVE PLENTY of time for this to dry ! ! !

Great looking Decal (VERY PLEASED) and seems to be wearing well, ie no signs of wear even with plenty of wiper use.

NOTE to Tim, the packaging was trashed when I got the package. Everything but the m20-grafix.com sticker was in the package, but the ends where held on (just) with clear packing tape. One end fell off when I picked it up. Now I know UPS can be rough on packages (I now steer clear of them) so you might want to package them a little better to compensate or ship USPS.

Thanks Nutter for the kind words and the great advice. I'll package them more securely next time.
