Matey, I've been following the development of the Focus with some interest, as there are persistant rumors that Ford will be introducing an AWD, 220+ HP version in the next year or two. Ford is DEFINITELY producing a turbocharged FWD version which has received raves from the British press. Apparently it really puts the power down, even without AWD. I'm not sure when these special editions are coming to the U.S. but it's good to see a manufacturer paying attention to performance.

not that i dont love my scoob, but i (i cant believe im saying this) wouldnt mind buying that ford. for street versions, the fwd version wouldnt be bad, but as a rally car you can just forget it unless you plan on using the hand brake about 70% of the time.
