Ok, I am a total newbie with souping up cars and modifying stuff...
I just want to know what's the difference between a fake front spoiler/bumper.. and a real one?
See I saw a really nice SYMs bumper a couple of days ago... problem is I can't afford it...
Can you guys help me out?

hmmm... what do you mean by 'fake'? You mean aftermarket? Well, it could mean that you're swapping for a better looking bumper or increase the aerodynamics of the car.

Well, I don't think it's an aftermarket bumper...
What my friend told me is that I can have a "replica" of a bumper that I want... It'll be cheaper...
It's just not... like genuine I suppose...
It's just like saying President's Choice Cola vs. Coca Cola... You know where I am getting at?

One word, "Quality", well, you can put in the material they use to build the bumper too. Most replica bumper use fiberglass, which isn't such a bad thing until you consider that if you get into an accident with that bumper you're toast.

I am dead or the bumper is dead?

The bumper http://208.9.184.110/NonCGI/smile.gif or maybe you too depending on the impact http://208.9.184.110/NonCGI/wink.gif

As keiho said, replica bumpers are made of fibreglass, they're more vulnerable to cracking.

My friend order one from SYMs, and it's fiberglass as well...
*shrug*
see, I don't mind the STi one, it's just that it doesn't seem aggressive enough
