Since Funker introduced the downer thread yesterday, I thought I'd counter it with songs that Pump you up. You're down, you just need something to get your blood pumping - or you need some good tunes for the car - post the songs here!

Schtum - Skydiver
Radiohead - Million Dollar Question
Amoeba Assassin (well, Oakey really) - Piledriver!
PPK - Resurrection
BFF - Underground
Semisonic - In the Veins
BT - Never Going to Come Back Down
Soul Coughing - Just about everything :D, but Bus to Beelzebub, Casiotone Nation, and Down to this are Personal Faves! (Janine too, but it doesn't get me jazzed up)
Rinocerose - La Guitaristic House Organization [rally beetle ad]
G. Love & Special Sauce - Cold Beverages
Dambuilders - Shrine
Dub Pistols - Keep Movin' (from some soundtrack)

Just some of my personal favorites right now!

Sure it screams MULLET! But I'm old and lived through the 80's!

if you think mine are bad, ask kC!!!

hmm, observation - for some reason, it seems everyone listens to the same stuff if they want to hear something depressing, but it's a much wider variety when you go the other end of the spectrum!

I think the reason is is that there are so many different feelings, ways to be happy, pumped, whatever but when you're depressed, its all the same, universal feeling.

I never really rated Gillis but Watson had the whole 8-fingered thing going for him, which rocked! Plus he had some serious metal hair.

The Chevelle album has been getting me going in the morning this week.

I said IMHO, not IF'sHO!

Gillis has a knack for the 'whammy bar'. Plus that cheesy broken string in the teeth and elbow wahwah thing in the Sister Christian video. Playing with Ozzy on "Speak of the Devil" was kinda cool too.

The new Chevelle disc is pretty good. Seen them twice and was thoroughly impressed.
