But all I can find is all this math talk I dont understand. I just want to get back to the basics and ask the n00b question that ive been meaning to ask. With upgrading internals, like the pistons, connecting rods, cam shafts, what benefits should one expect from these upgrades with a car that has turbo? The only benefits for this would be that you can add more power to the car than the standard WRX engine can handle. Thanks in advance. -randall As everyone said above, it's all a matter of how far you are going to go. Push 400+hp may require some internal work, depending on your view of reliable. While the math may seen overwhelming, it really is pretty straighforward. Pictures would help a lot, as describing these equations with text is difficult to visualize. I have 06 wrx and this guy is selling his built 06 engine cheap...since I plan to get bigger turbo later I am thinking about getting it but like how many hp can a built engine handle up to? what's the max rpm it can run? I got standalone ecu....I definitely have to upgrade tranny and clutches right? As most people know a good builder/tuner cannot be replaced. Tranny is a huge part of the WRX. If you treat it correctly you shouldnt have problems. |
