Waayyy cheaper than what people in the states were charging for the parts. I got my parts from my dealership -- Specialty Motorcars -- and they gave me a 10% discount cauz I got my car from them. I went to the Richmond Subaru today( without the part #)and I asked them about the trunk light parts, they told me they only thing i need is the trunk light kit for the 96 models, which was only 11 bux for the whole kit. So i asked them is that everything i need, cuz i seem to remember that it contains two parts. He told me the kit comes with a "L"shaped thing and a light...hmm seems almost too good to be ture, anyways they will order it for me, i guess i will have to wait and find out if i am getting the right parts...thanks Penphoe 02-01-2000, 06:35 AM Yeah, when I went to my dealership, they "said" the same thing -- basically all they had was the "lightbulb" part, and not the striker switch assembly. I ordered the part, and a couple of days later it came! It wasn't expensive, but it shoulda came on the car straight from the factory! LaterZ! Yeah, all you got was the little "light bulb". You need to get the new striker switch which contains a ground switch that turns on and off the trunk light -- it's really easy to install. Just follow the instructions on that web page, and use the masking tape tip at the bottom of the instructions to help you align up the new striker plate.
