I don't understand all you people who are getting all pissed off about the new UBBv6. This site was put up by people who work their ass off to keep this site going. And how much do you pay a month to be a member here? Nothing! Show a little more respect for the people that have made this site what it is today.

For a board that is supposed to promote free opinions, this is seeming awefully confining. It would seem to me, that a board admin would like feedback on there updates. I know I would. I agree that negative comments are not what anyone is looking for. Comments such as, this UBB code seems slower than the last version are valid concerns. Maybe there is something that can be done to make it faster. Please keep in mind that this is an example, not a complaint. I know it seems like a lot of people come off as complaining, but they are only trying to maximize there experience here. Trying to make things more convienent for everyone. I think we all need to calm down and worry less about what other people are posting as concerns, and more about what value you can bring to the board.

Just my opinion I could be wrong... though I doubt it. :)

I was oing to comment that it seems the same people who hate(d) the wrx and complained about it for motnhs are the people who aren't willing to accept teh change to the new software...

sheesh, i never was pissed off about the new setup...i miss the old collection of smileys and gave my own ideas that i felt would make this server a lot more fun to post on. if the server jus upgraded and many tweaks are still being made, then is it that wrong to give suggestions? i never knew such things would evoke such animosity from you people :(

Some of us DID pay for this site. I chipped in $10 because I thought the site was in trouble (and it wasn't). I don't regret it because I love this site.

I did notice someting about a I-club store now though... so where's my free sticker for contributing $10 before? I never got one!

If you weren't pissed, then this post wasn't referring to you. Constructive critism is a good thing, but "THIS F_ING SUCKS" does not benefit anyone on this board. Yeah, suggestions are good, but I'm sure Nick was aware of the things we'd be giving up by going to 6.0 but decided to anyway. Give um a break.

and you are correct. What is anoying is that nick said that it is going to be slower for a little while and that he is working on it.
This migration is still under construction, but yet everyone is killing it! thats retarded!!!
nick has said MANY times that he is still working on it, and give him some time to get things back up but yet everyone still has to go off on it.
that would annoy the SHI+ out of me if I was him. Ppl are not reading his messages but yet are still complaining... let me go back to what i said before.. SHUT UP!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sorry that you think your opinion will change everyone elses. If you really feel that way, why dont you help people understand that it is a work in progress rather than flaming them. Post a message with valuable information, not a slam. It is amazing how that will get you the desired result.

Jeffg, I fully understand that some people are just giving comments that will make the board better. But some people are just getting pissed. As my original post said, I don't understand the people that are getting pissed off. Some people are blantly flaming Nick. Not cool. Remember: "This board is a privilege, not a right. Respect it"

Guys, if you only knew how HIGHLY modified the old board was, you all would appreciate Nick's efforts a wee bit more- it kills him to hear people just sit and bitch and talk smack about the board's looks. UBB5.0 'standard' was sooo much worse than 6. Given time, the board will be tweaked and all pretty again- fear not. Nick is only one man, so cut him some slack please ;). Life goes on without smiley's and direct links to PM's- sheesh.

The only thing I am trying to add to this conversation is, rather than starting a whole new thread about how immature some of the posters are, why dont we talk to them directly, in a mature manner. Let them know that things are going to get better. Do not flame them, do not call them names. Just help other people out. A lot of people have no idea what BBS is, or how it works. They are used to a standard, and feel they lost out with the new version. Let them know that there are some cool new features coming, in addition to the old features. People are afraid of change, especially change they dont understand. Seek to enlighten, not destroy.

The subject "Grow up" was to get people's attention. (It worked) but stragely enough, I was very mature in the body of my message, and did not do any "name calling." And I can't stress enough that the this post was to remind people that we should respect the owners of the board. Simple as that. That is not calling anyone immature. I don't understand why you have turned it around on me saying "Do not flame them, do not call them names." and "Seek to enlighten, not destroy." Please try to understand what I am saying.

I like the interface, but my only suggestion (which i fugure is just not yet updated) is some of the ICONS look a lil' cheezy, i.e.: folder icons, Flame Icons...etc...prolly just hasn't been finalized......my suggestion, call it a BETA VER. and make peeps think they're a part of something "NEW" or in the "prototype stage".. :D BTW I like the INSTANT GREM's!

A. This is not our board...yeah we are ParT of it, but Nick and alex own the place.

C. No one is paying attention to the fact that all these little problems will be worked out in due time. I hate when ppl don't pay attention to stuff like that.

I was not talking to you specifically. All of my statements are general and not directed at any one person, even Keith :) I have just watched people in several posts flame, and name call people that ask questions that they feel are stupid. I do not think this is appropriate. We are all adults, well at least I hope we are. I hope that we can offer help to the people that seem to have problems. It does no good to make angry replys.
