Aight... I'm gonna go down there Sat. to check them out if they're still there... Maybe the most expensive impulse buy I'll ever make. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
NA Impreza 03-20-2001, 06:39 PM is speciality the one at North Van?
Keiho 03-20-2001, 07:16 PM Yup, Specialty is the one in N. Vancouver.
Petrie 03-20-2001, 07:27 PM The wagon is a big surprise. On first impression I like it better than the sedan.
I would like like to thank the people at Specialty for their hospitality while I was there. It is really nice to have a dealer that appreciates that we like our cars.
Oh... and it's not his black one, his is not in yet.
Keiho 03-20-2001, 07:32 PM Petrie - you mean the one there right now isn't mine? http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/lol.gif Aww~

GS116 03-20-2001, 10:51 PM Oh, Nick, it's your Black sedan? I thought it's Pat's new toy, 'cos I saw the paper work there last Sat.
markus 03-21-2001, 12:32 AM Nick,
I thought you were a strict follower of White cars only?
Fred C 03-21-2001, 12:56 AM Hey, so is there any way we could test-drive one at this point? Or are they all sold and "no-touch" ones? My sisters are interested in the 5-spd sedan.
Thanks, guys! http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/wink.gif
chuppies 03-21-2001, 02:08 AM Hey all,
I also ordered a WRX, but from Don Docksteader. My friend that works there told me that he was given instructions by his boss to only sell at MSRP. Which means no negotiation. Is that the same at Speciality Motors? If you guys are getting a better price at Speciality, I'm there.
Stan
chuppies 03-21-2001, 02:14 AM Hey Fred C.
What I was told last month was that in order to even test drive the car, you must put a deposit down. So that's what I have done. Supposely, if I don't like it or if I can't afford it, I can still get my deposit back.
Stan
Fred C 03-22-2001, 12:56 AM Really... hmm... maybe I'll go put a deposit down just to test-drive it. http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/smile.gif But can't everyone just do that anyway?!? I mean, if the deposit is totally refundable without penalty... hmmm... That sounds like a "useless" policy...
chuppies 03-22-2001, 01:01 AM Hey does anyone want my Silver WRX Wagon? I had it ordered and is now at Don Docksteader, but I recently got laid off and probably can't get financing for it. Fred, if you want, you can test drive mine.
Kevin 03-23-2001, 10:10 AM Hey Chuppies, I saw your silver wagon at Docksteaders yesterday, nice.
They had quite a few WRX's sitting there. One of the sales managers said they got 22 new Impreza's in, not sure how many are WRX's though.
-Kevin
Specialty will have a test drive car available like in a month... which is about a month earlier than that Subaru performance driving event Bill just posted, which is on May 26-27.
Ya, you can put a deposit down and then just decide not to buy it, but that doesn't seem to nice for the dealers, unless they really want to get a whole bunch sitting on their lot.
chuppies 03-24-2001, 06:05 PM Hey Kevin,
I actually got to test drive it on Thursday, boy was it a thrill. They claimed it can go from 0-60 in 5.8 sec. I really have to kick myself for not getting it, but I just couldn't afford it with me being unemployed and all.
It was fine to put a deposit down when there wasn't any available to look at, but now that they have them, you can't do what I did.
