First of all there is oil in there it's been 900 miles since my oil change.
I always start my car and warm it up for at least 5 minutes and I did just that last night before leaving work.
But..when I came out my car had stalled,I start it back up and the oil light came on! I shut it off check the oil and it was fine.
Started back up and the light was off,but it came back on and of a few times while diving home.
My check engine light has been on for along time cuz of the 2nd o2 and hiflow cat,so I'm not sure if there is any other codes besides the p0420.
What should I do? I'm afraid to drive it to autozone to get the codes pulled or to the dealer for that matter.

thanks Rick my00 rs 31k miles.

Call the dealer and ask them what you should do...could be something serious or just a loose wire or faulty sensor.

It's most likely a faulty pressure switch. The switch is set to signal at a ridiculously low pressure, something like 3 PSI. I don't think your car would work for very long with virtually no oil pressure. :o The stalling is worrisome, though. Could also be the oil pump...

Also, why do you let your car idle for 5 minutes when it's cold outside? This really isn't any good for the car, particularly the engine oil.

Thank You Steve! I'm having my car flatbedded to the dealer on thursday,I figured it was the oil pump or something like that:mad:
I also bought a obdII scanner and the only other code I found is irrelevant to the problem (p0442) which will also be checked out. Oh well at least I'm still under warranty :)

PS I thought it was good to let your car warm up/oil pressure rise before driving? (except now with this problem:rolleyes: it shouldn't be started until looked at)
