Hey guys, the search option is disabled until I can get some real answers from the software engineers at UBB.
Everytime I turn it on the load on the server goes through the roof and then nobody can do anything.
It will be back up as soon as I get some real answers and a resolution from them.

Hey the delete feature is NICE in this version. Takes about 2-3 seconds to delete something out of the General Forum when it used to take 12-15 seconds!

UPDATE: For right now I'm leaving the search option off at least until Sat or Sun night. The people at InfoPop seem to think that the board just needs to finish caching then everything should be ok.
I don't know about anyone else, but it seems much faster to me right now. I just don't wanna jinx it yet by turning the search back on.

Hrm, Ok. BTW, what would the search have to do with caching, anyway? What is it that needs to be cached that isn't? I guess I don't see the connection.
And here I thought the board was sluggish w/o the search... :rolleyes:

You have to go to "my profile"
They are there and now you can have e-mail notification when you recive a PM.
UBB6 unlike UBB5 caches the pages in it's psuedo-webserver. UBB5 actually created HTML files for each of the threads.
Their software engineers say this is more efficient, and if the performance keeps getting better than I agree with them.
I believe the board right now is about on par with the level of performance we had with UBB5 before the problems.
