Anybody know if the powertrain or emission control warranties cover a bad coil? I have 50k miles and mine is fried :(. Just want to know before I call the dealer tommorow.

Should be 36k- it's not a major powertrain item.

Bummer. To answer my own question, it is not covered by powertrain as you said. BUT , for California the emmision control component coverage is 3yr/50k miles (everywhere else is 3yr/30k). I am just under 50k, so if I lived in Cali, then this would be replaced under warrenty. Since I'm not, I get to spend the $130. Joy.
