Well, after being involved in this thread (http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=206776&highlight=I+am+Jacks+VR6)), I finally got my shot at the all-mighty WRX to see what would really happen.

Raced twice. Once from a 70 MPH roll and once from a 15 MPH roll. The run on from 70 was useless because the WRX started in 4th and I was in 3rd.

It was the run from 15 that suprized me... I was dead even, shift for shift, with the WRX. We stopped racing around 60, still door to door.

I just thought I might share with all of you doubters that thought my car was a slow POS or whatever else people were saying in those previous threads.

VR6 mods -

- GIAC chip
- K&N panel filter
- No back seat/spare tire
- Coilovers
- 17" OZ F1 Cup's
- 215/40/17 Kumho's

WRX mods -

- K&N panel filter
- 17" Prodrive P7's
- 225/45/17 Kumho's

If anyone has any sort of problems believing any of this, I am located in the Bay Area and am more than willing to do this again. All you need to do is let me know.

...and yes, I know that a WRX will win from a stop.

chipped vs chipless huh, seems fair....
seeing as how the K&N robbed the WRX of .5 hp
but all in all it sounds quick :) gj

1 this is not a street racing forum. Also who cares if you were down 40 hp. Run what you brung. Unichip-30 minutes =30 hp. If he had a boost controler at 15psi (.3 over stock peak) he would have killed you because he would be able to hold boost for a lot longer in each gear.
