bump. good question. i'm sure people who work at the dealerships would know this best. are the trucks still coming in with new models?

i know that at several dealerships in my area, new cars are delivered a couple times a week. so as soon as the new ones come out, we will see them. i'm sure there will be mass posting as soon as someone sees the new body style at a dealership or on the road...which i'm guessing will be around april-july.

are you going to keep your wrx and get an STi, or trade it for the STi?

I think they're still pumping out the 03's considering I just ordered one on Saturday.

Hey Desolite One, since you are not too far from me (Chicago/Detroit) I was wondering how long they said to expect for your car to arrive?

I ordered mine last wed. and they said around 45 days.... also what did you pay and get with it? Thanks

I suspect that FHI is, currently, building only 2004 WRXes for the US market. However, the pipeline (cars in transit between Japan and your dealership) is still filled with 2003 WRXes.

As an example, in Jan 2001, the US WRX was announced. I took delivery of my WRX in March 2001 and it was built 01/01 according to my B pillar label. And, at that point in time, the New Age RS, TS, and OBS began arriving at dealerships with little fanfare. I expect the 2004 WRX, RS, TS and OBS (but not the STi) to arrive in dealers' showrooms late March/early April.

The new 04 is supposed to be here by March. Given construction and transportation time, my guess is that Subaru are no longer making the old body style WRX. I'm sure a dealer can still order what a customer wants. But, that order will only match what is currently available in the pipeline, as has been mentioned.

I just spoke with a Chicago area dealer who is willing to order an 04 WRX for $500 over invoice.
However, I didn't get any pricing. I did ask and hopefully will get some info soon. I want the sunroof and possibly the cold weather package.

The salesperson I spoke to said early/mid Feb, but didn't give a definite date. I don't want to speculate so I'm going to give him a call to get a definite date of delivery especially since I'll be out of town the first week in Feb.
Out the door was $25,3XX w/ security system, boost gauge, and sound system package (upgraded speakers and sub/amp). They beat the carsdirect price by $350 since another local dealer said they would match it.

Just wanted to let you know that '03 WRX's in the Chicago area can be had for $500 UNDER invoice. If you need the contact name and number let me know.
