Pete Sandkicker 01-11-2003, 12:24 AM More wrecked WRXs than 350Zs? That's the only thing I can think of. lionken07 01-11-2003, 12:53 AM Considered yourself lucky. I got quote for 4500 a year and I'm almost 21 and got clear record (got my licence 3 years ago too!). P.S. I live in Queens NY too!:( MaxPower 01-11-2003, 01:16 AM 3400 a year here is what i was quoted. thats with 2 speeding tickets and one not at fault accident. i think thats pretty damn good mbpWRX 01-11-2003, 02:17 PM what insurance companies are you guys using? 27echo 01-11-2003, 03:39 PM I use USAA and I currently pay 1320 a year in GA. The great thing for me is when I go back to MA it's goint to drop to 900 a year. I'm also 25 with a clean record so that definately helps my cause. armand1 01-11-2003, 07:01 PM Considered yourself lucky. I got quote for 4500 a year and I'm almost 21 and got clear record (got my licence 3 years ago too!). Wow! About $10000 cost of first year of owning a WRX, when you include 1st year depreciation! lionken07 01-11-2003, 11:25 PM yeah, that's the joy of being young and living in NYC:rolleyes: :p Spanky 01-12-2003, 02:50 AM Oregon...I'm 28...not tickets or wrecks...state farm... 1100 a year...100/300...250 deductable. Probably, but the z's are beginning to wreck too.:o In fact, a guy test driving one was concerned that it didn't have enough power, so he tested it, and wrecked it. He still bought one though.:) SubEd 01-12-2003, 06:34 PM Here's who's not helping those rates: http://www.champlainsoftware.com/Ed/birthday.jpg vapore0n 01-12-2003, 10:32 PM nasty pic, take it off, take it off!! lionken07 01-13-2003, 12:54 AM damn... that's killing my eyes I still think whoever rear-end someone shouldn't be on the road... Martin 01-13-2003, 01:32 AM it's not that bad for me I pay 1500$ and i have 2 fault accident and my 2.5rs getting stolen on my record Infymus 01-13-2003, 10:23 AM My insurance rates are $1236.00 a year ($103 US per month) covering myself and my wife. This is for two vehicles, 2002 Outback LL Bean and a 2002 WRX Wagon. No tickets, no accidents for either of us - EVER. We're also with a local insurance company (Bear River Mutual) that only insures people within the State of UT. Their policy demands that you cannot touch drugs or alcohol. You can't even have a beer. Sea Dragon Rex 01-13-2003, 02:22 PM I'm pissed. Allstate just raised my insurance from $275 for 6 months to $475 with no explanation. I had 4 cars for two drivers on my policy and now I have three and the premium went up over 10%. 95% of the increase is on the Subie. Insurance companies gouging the public again. Cosmo 01-13-2003, 03:36 PM Mine is $858/year for my '03 sedan through Allstate. Of course, I'm 29, married (for a few more months - long story) and have 2 children and a clean record. WhatleyWRX 01-14-2003, 02:40 PM Originally posted by Sea Dragon Rex Allstate just raised my insurance from $275 for 6 months to $475 with no explanation. Heh, I know how you feel. When I first got my WRX coming up on 2 years ago I was paying $175 every 6 months for full coverage (I'm over 25 and live in Idaho) now its $395 every 6 months. I'm just thankful i'm not one of you other people, jesus I'd park the thing and start riding my bike, for 4500 a year I could buy one hell of a mountain bike. Whatley robmarch 01-14-2003, 05:45 PM Originally posted by Infymus Their policy demands that you cannot touch drugs or alcohol. You can't even have a beer. Incredible. do they do random testing? DetroitWRX 01-15-2003, 12:41 AM Every one can stop thier bitching I pay $1800 every six months. One car clean record. It's the beauty of living in the Motor City by time I get it paid off I would have paid for it in insurance. If I was a punk boy living in the burbs it would be half. Companies had the nerve when I was looking to quote me ofer $8000 a year for insurance on a $24g car. 1/3 of the car price per year. When I question why they thought that was fair they question why I live in Detroit. Damit they live in the burbs too. |
