OK so before Lumberg closes this, Or VR6 gets all riled up.
THIS IS NOT A STREET RACING POST
are we clear on that? lol OK so here is my question
In the spring when the local drag strip opens up. I am going to be taking on a co worker of mine.
His car
early-mid 90's Mustang LX 5.0 in mint shape
H pipe
Mild cams
Flowmasters

My car(will be complete by the time we race)
VH30
BPM up pipe
TurboXS STealthback with race pipe(no cats)
Samco intercooler hoses
Unichip programmed for stage 4 with ABC set to 18PSI
Walbro fuel pump
STI injectors
GFB pulleys
GFB 50/50 BOV(I know, no power there)
WIll be running 93 octane, unless I can swing a few gallons of unleaded race gas

I have removed some weight(glove box plate, drivers side under dash plate, Console weight, all trunk liners, hood liner, no rear door speakers, and of course spare/jack/tools will be out of the car for the race.
I am predicting mid 12's for my car(with some practice)

I should own him fairly hard shouldnt I?(assuming I drive well)

Once again this is ON A LEGAL DRAG STRIP
NOT ON THE STREET.

Unless your buddy has slicks, and knows how to drive, nitrous, or something else you don't know about, you should spank him big time. With AWD, you should be pumping nearly 350-hp or more. You didn't mention whether or not you have an upgraded clutch, so be careful with that much power, and a after a few 5k launches at the strip, you WILL need a new one.

Good luck! and remember, friends don't let friends drive fords...

he..

Yeah I am looking into finding some stronger, NON dogbox gears(MRT makes some I think)
That I can have rebuilt into the tranny, and then I will go for a stronger clutch.
