Ok, here's a qusetion that I searched for already, but can't find a definite answer for... Can anyone tell me what the Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust is made of? Is it all stainless? Is it half stainless? Coated mild steel? I'm kind of interested in this exhaust, but there's no way I'm buying a mild steel exhaust for almost $600.

I used to have the power medalian on my integra.. the muffler is all stainless, the pipeing is not.. but the system is very nice sounding.. i thought it was worth every penny but thats me.. just my 2 cents

Flent: What kind of, if any, exhaust do you have on the Subaru? I had a DC on my Honda, so I don't have any experience with any others. Oh, and I'm not going to pay $600 for the thing, that was just a ballpark price, what's a good price for it? The cheapest I've found is about $540, I think.

One other thing, how rust-resistant is ceramic coated mild steel? Would the Apex'i N1 be a better deal?

The Tanabe is the best sounding exhaust I have heard from an Impreza (I worked at a Subaru dealership). It is worth every penny, but you should be able to get one for about $400-450.

Umm, yeah? Where can you get one for $400, because I got a really good deal for mine installed for $500. I love the sound and performance increase on it, and if you want to see a pic, it's on my member page (Worcester, MA). I just took the silencer off for the first time today, and it sounds soooo good. Not to mention loud as heck! Damn is it loud.

are the tanabe racing medalions 100% bolt on for the impreza no cutting or welding. i never knew they made exhaust for subarus. i like those exhaust just about as close as you can get to straight through exhaust and still legal got to love removable silencers.

Yeah, the Tanabe is 100% bolt on...Im getting mine put on this coming saturday by Kartboy, he tells me it's only like 2 bolts and we're good to go. I heard it on his turboed RS, a bit choppy cause of the turbo, but still nice and deep sounding, no rice rockety sounds ya know? From everything I've heard,it's well worth the 400 bucks. I'll keep ya guys posted on it's performance and put up some pics once I get it put on.

do they make the racing medallion for the 2002 wrx? 100% bolt on no cutting or welding?
