To get to the little amber/clear bulb in the upper corner of the headlight (not the blincker covered by the orange sheild, the little one that comes on with the parking lights), does the whole headlight need to be removed? What all needs to be done to get the headlight out if that's the case?

Thanks

RTFM ;)

to answer your question - yes, the headlight has to be removed
1. remove front grill
2. remove grill side covers (painted part next to headlight)
3. disconnect connectors and the 3 bolts holding the light in place
4. remove offending bulb socket by turning counterclockwise
5. replace bulb, reassemble light

they warn that you may need to realign the headlights afterwards (very easy)

Thanks a bunch.
Sort of a pain but I guess not that bad... I had those parts off before when I replaced the grill side covers.

Seems like kind of a silly design on Subaru's part requiring removal of the entire assembly just to replace a bulb... oh well.
