Hello Rim of the World Supporters,
It's time for Rim again! We would like to invite you to help on this year's event which will take place May 2-3, 2003. This year we again welcome Subaru Western Region as pur Presenting Sponsor. They are very determined to make Rim a really good show this year as I say again...get ready for a fun time for the workers!
We will need a lot more workers this year than ever before! If you have friends that would like to work with you, get them in touch with me, Denise McMahon, and I will get them set-up! Do note there will be some changes this year. We will be using the Pelona Vista Soccer Park for Friday and Saturday Parc Expose, start, re-start, and rally finish. There will be a[ B]Subaru car club show[/B] and auto products vendors galore. You will have time to see all of this since everything will be happening there - this year it is all centralized! We will use the Holiday Inn headquarters for workers to come in and get signed-in and pick up your "worker perks" from me on Friday and Saturday morning.
Rim supports clubs that support Rim! This year we are looking for clubs that would like to take on the challenge of manning their "own" spectator area, banner team, or timing control, or just providing a minimum number of workers to the rally. Clubs that do will get the chance to be in the Official Program and on the Rim website, or even a prescence at Pelona Vista Park! See the Rim website for details!
Pat and I will be again be doing two worker training classes. Both will be sponsored by Subaru. Once you sign up I will have those dates. There will be some changes since we may be using some different timing clocks this year. Remember, you don't need any experience to work the rally. We will train you and help you have a successful experience!
Once you sign-up with me...get your room ASAP since the Holiday Inn was totally booked four months ago for this event. I will get you that information and you can check the Rim website as well ("Lodging"). The website www.rimoftheworldrally.com has just been updated.
There are more exciting things that will be forthcoming happening than ever before at Rim. There will be a worker newsletter going out to keep you informed on what has been scheduled.
DO NOTE THIS IS THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY OF RIM SO THERE WILL BE A SPECIAL T-SHIRT COMMEMORATING THIS MILESTONE!
