TYPE wRx, i believe the fronts are 6.5" and the rears are 4" on a stock wrx. from what i've read, a lot of 6.5" speakers can fit in the front with a spacer to prevent hitting the window, and a spacer can also be made to fit 5.25" in the rear doors.

just to note.. i dont know this by experience.. just by what i've read on here and other sites

The stock sizing is 5.25" front, 4" rear with very little depth flexibility.

With 3/4" MDF you can easily jig a nice spacer that allows for 6.5" front.

I haven't tried rear, but I imagine 5.25" is possible. I'm going to put 5" Polks from my '98 Forester install in the rear doors.

If you haven't purchased yet, I strongly recommend 6.5" fronts, especially if you're taking the time to add an amp.

I installed Boston Acoustics Rally Series RC 61s with an MTX Thunder 6304 and couldn't be happier (well, perhaps if I had the cash for some MB Quarts....).

ack! The rears are 5" like my old Forester. I was going on the Crutchfield database at first. I'm glad I tried my old 5" Polks before ordering 4" speakers.

The 5" Polks fit "leeikke a gllluove."
