I made my first trip to the track with modifications today. Stock I went 14.7 @ 91.8 mph w/ a 2.1 60'
I have now added a TXS stealthback, and a TXS MBC. I was really expecting to get some 13 sec times maybe as low as 13.5 but this is what i did on my two best runs.( other two I bogged off the line and last one I missed second)

60' 1.927 1.928
330 5.754 5.754
1/8 8.958 8.965
mph 76.74 76.14
1000 11.709 11.733
1/4 14.058 14.080
mph 95.01 95.27

As you can see, not only are my et's high, but I think my trap speeds should be atleast 1~2 mph faster also.

My first 13s that I ran were trapping 96-97mph... hitting 13.9s seems to be right around the corner for you.

Quick question, how much boost are you running?

What you MAY be running into is too much boost near redline... ie- the stock ECU is probably pulling timing on ya. Try taking it down a psi... run it once or twice... then try another psi... etc etc..

If your traps go up,... you will hit the 13.9XX you are looking for.... assuming the same 60 ft ;)

BTW- my best with an EBC was 13.7@98mph... that on about 14 psi.

60ft is too high. 1.8 or lower. i did 14.3 stock and 13.8 with turboxs stage 1 and bouncing off fuel cut in first gear. the stealthback adds just as much power as my stage 1 so you should easily get into the 13's. and yes your mph is a little low as well

At his power levels his sixty foot times are fine... trying to pull lower sixty foot times is gonna be an excercise in futility... one of which may cost him his tranny.

I was running 13.7s with 60 foot times just like his... low 1.9s and such. It wasnt till I was making over 200hp to the wheels that I consistantly pulled sub-1.9 sixty foot times.

I never ran mine stock... but again, with JUST and EBC I pulled 13.710@98.23 mph... that on a 1.900 sixty foot time. My boost maxed out to 14.5 psi.

Your right there for the 13's. You should be able to nail one home with the right conditions. With just a MBC set to 15.5psi, uppie and a cat-back I run 13.50's @ 100mph all day long. This is not even "beating the snot out of her". Good Luck!

it must be altitude or something but last year I ran 13.6 @ 98.9 with blitz sus and txs downpipe open exhaust. I'm also in alaska.

How soon since an ECU reset? You might try shiv's relearn procedure. I ran the same 1/8th and 1/4 ETs as you with just a pulled hose (15psi), but at 1.3 mph faster trap speeds. That stealthback should put you at faster traps IMO, but there are many, MANY variables to look at. Relearn the ECU while driving aggressively with good gas and give her another go. I agree that your 60's are OK. You may get a handful of hundredths faster, but you are right there for a stock car. Also, your gain in the 2nd 1/8th (mph wise) seems a little low. The last 1/8th should be all 3rd gear for you...in 3rd when you start it, in 3rd when you go through the traps. OR did you short shift into 4th? My traps suffer if I shift at anything other than just short of fuel cut (and my car is stock).

How are you guys achieving these low 0-60 ft times? I went to the track this past weekend and could only get 13.887 as my best 1/4 mile time. I'm running stage 2 stuff (TBE, uppipe, EBC) with boost peaking at about 15 - 15.5 in 3rd gear. Granted I'm not doing clutch dumps, but I am launching at about 3500 - 4000 RPM's by slipping (atleast I think it's slipping). What should my 1/4 and 0-60 ft. times be with my setup and how do I achieve it without breaking my tranny and not smelling up my cabin too much with burnt clutch smell? :)

You have to launch higher than 3500, more like 5500 rpms and slip off of that to pull under a 2.0 60'.

i seen you run that day you really did not have a good start you were the second fastest wrx out there. i did not get a chance to take my wrx out there for that. we took the saturn instead. the white green and purple saturn beating hondas. it look like you did not have a good lauch.

that day also was not a good day for everybody that had turbos. it started to get colder and humidty started to rise. that start to change alot of peoples boost that they had set. a friend of mine had his green ugly car out there he said is boost was really off he has a mbc. that was a big factor outer that day. that is why almost all the n/a car won.

i can only help a little, but the one thing i did. and this was some free advice given to me by another i-clubber awhile back is to try increasing your tire pressure a couple psi...let the AWD do its work and it help me get into the 1.83 60' times.. :)
