AndyRoo 01-21-2003, 03:26 PM Wow...looks like a very good potential rally car.
You have to make up a story up about how you let McRae borrow the car in Finland. Just to give it a colorful history.
How tough is the competition in PGT? What other cars are winning in this class?
Good luck!
Subie Gal 01-21-2003, 03:29 PM PGT class is dominated by the DSM's and the WRX....
i expect the wagon would be very competitive....
but will i figure out how to drive it is the question....
i've never owned a turbo'd car ;)

I imagine you'd keep your foot in the gas while left-foot braking, but I'm curious as to how well the brakes would withstand the abuse with the heavier wagon versus the sedan?
The_Triton 01-21-2003, 05:21 PM That's great!!!! I hope that it works out for you.
So........any chance of you posing next to your new Rally car and posting pics????

The difference between wagon and sedan in stock form is only 80 pounds (dont know about the difference prepped for her class). But I bet there are a lot of rally drivers that weigh more than 80 pounds more than Jamie, so I dont think the brakes will care much that they are on a wagon.;)

Ok. I had no idea the weight difference was so small. I guess the bigger fenders on the sedan help offset the longer roof, huh? :)
Subie Gal 01-21-2003, 06:36 PM i'm not thinking the weight is gonna be the concern... :D
right now i need to BUY the car...
THEN prep it...
that's my main concern
i think it will drive just fine...
maybe even turn in BETTER than the Sedan...
we'll see... ;)

*** i see speeding tickets in your future****

Subie Gal 01-21-2003, 07:21 PM naaaaaaaah i wont be driving it on the street that much.. lol...
rally DMS are not very cushy ;) :D
peepshow 01-22-2003, 10:32 AM Woo-hoo, go Jamie! Got all my appendages crossed for ya! It would be sweet to see that bad boy (errrr.... girl?) at LSPR this year!
- Trent
outback2.5HO 01-22-2003, 01:11 PM Congrats on the new ride Jaime.:D Can't wait to see it at Doo Wops.
Knew all of those sponsors would pull through for you...;)
Driving it will be different than the 'ol yeller, more power to get in trouble with, as well as climb those hills with authority.;) Watch that boost in the turns, oversteer city...
Still on the fence about running a Turbo Legacy instead of the N/A Beast, want the extra power, but it's nice to finish races too (reliability). Hmmm, the more WRXs there are in PGT, the more I lean towards the Turbo. After all it was that Turbo Legacy that opened the door for the Impreza and the WRX. It would be nice to make a showing for the old school...:)
N/A or Turbo, I'll be there in a Legacy.
Have fun prepping your new beast (and take lots of pics).:)
WRXMaster 01-22-2003, 01:45 PM Dont you need a 30mm ristrictor on the turbo? Good luck with the wagon:devil:
Subie Gal 01-22-2003, 01:46 PM 32mm restrictor... correct :)
we'll be adding that... as well as a turbo back, hi flo cat exhaust...
;)
Jamie
omahasubaru 01-24-2003, 10:09 AM Congrats!!! You shoul do just fine and hold you're own in PGT. The wagon is he only way to go in my mind. It can be just as competitive as the sedan, just look a Subaru of Canada's Rally wagon!
I'll be looking forward to seeing it at Ojibwe this year. Won't have the issues when the downpour comes with AWD this year!
Subie Gal 01-24-2003, 11:49 AM AWD is gonna be SUCH a relief!! :)
i will miss my lil put put car tho...
:D
Jamie
Where is the little put put going?
Subie Gal 01-24-2003, 12:45 PM he's got a new home and will be residing in Chicago, IL.
look for him to appear maybe at the likes of Ojibwe or LSPR...
man i am gonna so miss him. :(
what a good, strong little car...
:( i'm gonna go cry now :(
