Most dealers haven't received their product catalogue yet. (They expect it in mid Febuary.) If anyone gets a price please post it.
Mike

Thanks for the info Bob.

The parts manager here at SOJ had a brochure with two different brand hard covers.. The snugtop, from the link above, he didnt have a price on yet, either. But, the other brand, dont remember what, was over $900... Snugtop will probably be about the same..

Interesting that a big part of this company's early success was due to being an OEM supplier for Subaru! They made the "caps" for the Subaru BRAT!

Yep the BRAT made it possible for snugtop to grow into what they are! I have one for my BRAT!

This new lid looks slick and I am glad to see them in the subie game again.

That $375 is for the vinyl cover. We were talking about the hard cover SnugLid, that locks.

Thanks for the update. :)

This Penda Lid I think(?) was the one Subaru had on display at the Detroit and Baltimore car shows. If so, it looks to be a "beta" version. The mounting and locking hardware looked pretty crude, and not up to SOA standards.

I just received some photos from Glasstite (the Penda cover), but am still looking for pricing on them. They are at the inserted link towards the bottom of the page and slideshows thru several views. I'll post again when I find prices. I have seen one on the road, identical to the photo, and the cover looks pretty sharp.

I just purchased a snugtop cover but got mine in black even though my Baja is atlantic pearl blue. It actually looks good that way, although I think it would look better if it were a dull black.

It's been raining like crazy up here in the pacific northwest so I can say it keeps things fairly dry. It's not completely water tight so don't put anything in there that you don't want to get wet. I put a rubber stress mat in my bed so the bottom of my things stay dry and to keep my bed from getting scratched. Water does pour in at the back of the lid when you open it.

Installed, it cost $1200.00 but it was a gift from my grandma. Gosh I love my grandma. :)

A downside of the snugtop is that it is a bit of a pain to remove the lid. Forget trying to remove the whole thing unless you don't intend on putting it back on.

the other down side is that the rubber gaskets around the rollbar will crack split after less then 2 years and cost almost $100 to replace all 4, called snuglid to se if they would replace them, was told would have to purchase them from a dealers, thats the way to stand behind your $1000 product, just want a fair price not $33 & $22 per rubber groment!!:(
