may be moving to Austin this summer, just wondering how the job market is for graphic or web design.

i hope it's a cool place, i love snow and winter so it might be tough for me to adjust. any help or advice is appreciated.

it really depends on your portfolio when you talk about graphics. i cant speak for austin, but if you are contracted, or just work for yourself, there is always work for highly skilled designers. post some of your works.

It's not as hot as it used to be. You might want to consider the game industry, there are a couple of studios here in town, like ION and EA.

In the web/design areas, Frog are the only ones that spring to mind. Agencies such as Lante and T3 are also alternatives....and if it helps, it snowed here yesterday ;) Austin is cool, I've had numerous people tell me it's their favourite city in the US (and I moved here from England).

I have been almost all over the entire US (except for california) and Austin is the best place I've visited, unless you count the peacefullness of montana in the summer.. thats priceless.
