Help me please! I made a small spot (the size of a quarter) of fogged paint while debadging my WRX. Otherwise it went very well.
Any tips on taking it away?

Thanks,
Dan

Try a small amount of rubbing compound, then use some McGuires cleaner wax... I had a small spot like that behind the S. This method worked for me.

What do you mean by fogged? I was thinking about debadging my girlfriend's RS and was worried about the paint. I'm just worried about stuff exactly like this.

Was the fogging from the heat or the solvent used to clean up? Use the minimum amount of heat from a heat gun or hair dryer necessary to soften the adhesive, then pass very fine dental floss behind the badge/letters and they come off easily. I thought that clean up with WD40 sounded pretty weird, but it doesn't affect the paint and the goo eventually comes off with a bit of rubbing. Finish up with car wax/polish. Looks like those letters were never there. If your paint is just fogged it should buff out.

It was from too much rubbing... The first S took a little to get the hang of it. The rest was easy. After rubbing with GooGone to get rid of the little bits, I noticed some fogging. Again, only a tiny bit.
I just wanted good advice before I tried to fix it.

detail clay and detail spray....

if you havent tried it.. do it...

you can find some here: http://www.griotsgarage.com

that's the clay and spray i recommend and use on my RS...

what it does is remove all solvents, dirt etc from the paint... even yellow paint over spray... hehehehe... not that i'd know...
