If you set up a hyperterminal for a utec and use it for logging or map editing, does it load any software on the computer? My laptop is a work computer and it is electronically checked for new programs. I know that the computer is checked for exe programs, I'm not sure about others. If using a laptop for a utec loads any programs on the computer, what type of files would they be?

No it doesn't load any new programs.

Just HyperTerminal. And any maps that are saved are .txt (Notepad) files.

No .exe files.
