Yo board members,
just went to DD, and Richmond Subaru. Both places say they are
sold out of the 03 WRX's. Richmond had 2 WRX's left, one
wagon, one sedan, both automatic (which is not what I want).
DD had tons of RS's and TS's, but had NO WRX's left !!
The sales guy at DD told me they don't plan on ordering any
more, and would rather wait until the 04's come out.
All that tells me is that the next couple of months, their sales are
going to suffer a bit, it's like having a complete model line wiped
out of your dealership for 3-6 months.
I do question why SOC is launching a new model change so soon,
the current model isn't even 3 yrs. old !
What's the scoop at Specialty ?

subaru is looking at the big global picture. overseas the round headlights were not a big hit with buyers, which prompted the early revision.
someone told me that the dealers won't order 03's because they don't want to be stuck with unsold stock because their consensus is that people would rather hold out for the 04

Oh man.. This is so tempting.. I've got a silver late 02' with 24k on it, flawless condition (I'm paying the $1.055L to get 94). Only mods are replaced speakers in front doors and replaced the 6-CD with an MP3/CD deck. I just joined a company that wants me to drive one of their cars for service work, and I really want to get an 04' style WRX anyways.. :)
Problem is this car is totally immaculate, I got it with 7 kilometers on the OD and other than service people at the dealership, I've been the only person to sit in the driver's seat. It's been hand washed with care taken to rise constantly and the paint has no swirls that you see on some dealer lots where the cars have been washed a few dozen times by a kid paid $7/hr. It also has the factory optional security system and comes with a set of 4 Blizzak LM22 snow tires. The LM22's aren't the generic blizzak, they are very uber and actually a bit better for handling than the stock RE92s that are on the car now! The LM22s are isane snow/ice tires that make the WRX a breeze to drive in the worst conditions. I was constantly hoping for fresh snow to go play, er drive, in.
So basically I'd want $38k for the car.. and you can get a new one for that much.. I actually wouldn't trade my car with stereo/tires for a new one though, not until the 04's were out.
420WRX, let me get this straight:
You are asking 38K for a Silver '02 WRX with 24K km on it and an MP3/CD stereo, and a set of 4 snow tires ?
I could order a new '03 WRX from the dealership at MSRP......
why would I want to buy a second hand older model with so many Km's at such a higher price ?

let's not forget all the freight and taxes you'd have to pay on top of MSRP....
It would also seem that the market for used WRX manual sedans is rather limited here in Vancouver.
The Rex must be that #$@&! good if no one here wants to sell their Rex!
Anyways, if anyone knows of someone wanting to sell, please PM me.
