hey everyone, is anyone having a problem with their windows? like the squeaking noise when opening and closing?

well today, when i was getting base, i opened my window to show the guy my ID, as the window was coming down, i heard a clunk. then as i brought it up, the window came up slower than usual. and now my window doesnt close all the way... cause i can hear extra wind noise as i drive on the highway.
i also notice that the top part of the window hits the top of the door now as i close it.

i'm thinking that i should bring the car to the dealer sometime soon. should i worry about mods or anything? my mods are minor. also, would this be covered under my warranty?
has anyone had this problem and brought it to the dealer?

My driver side front window does not seal well and has a air/wind leak. I think the leak is in the top corner.

I would think this would be warranty work. I did this kind of work at Alaska Sales and Service.

I don't know what the inside of the wrx door looks like. However, with GM cars the window could be off the track or the power window motor could need to be replaced.

i doubt your mods are gonna affect anything...unless you put some high power motor for you windows........ you only have exhaust and bov right?

they wouldnt need to pop the hood to work on the window would they?

your aftermarket BOV would cancel that warranty work on the window.:eek:

They should do a safety check (check the oil and stuff.) At least we did this at Alaska Sales.

Even though you're taking it in for window maintenance, I'm sure they'll pop the hood.

Don't tell me when I take my car in for an interior problem, they won't check the car out? I know I would!!!

With that said, I don't think you have to worry about your BOV or intake voiding warranty work on the window. Just be wary of your next engine service visit. Maybe they take notes, who knows?:confused:

I believe that they are taking notes of any aftermarket parts that are installed on the car.

I could be wrong, but I think I remember hearing that.

yeah, i've read that they take notes on what has been modified..

i'm sure they'll check the engine out. they would probably say "hmm....different exhaust....wonder what else is under the hood?"

I would not worry about the mods you have.

Did you replace the stock speakers? That would viod the warranty. Do a search on windows. I remeber seeing some thing that the windows on the WRX are having problems with the plastic clips breaking. Sound like your problem. Kato
