ive have been hearing nothing but good comments on the clay bar. ive also read many posts in the Dress up and Style section of the forum about what it does and such. The question is, which company does everyone recommend? personally im a fan of Meguiars, do they make this awesome product? or should i just go for the Mother's Clay bar?

I don't know that there would be much difference between the brands, but then again, I've only used ClayMagic.

I'll second and third the motion. Claybars WORK GOOD, that is if you don't mind having your paint feel like glass.http://www.i-club.com/ubb-files/smilies/biggrin.gif

Meguiar's makes a product called Quick Clay, which is a clay bar and a bottle of their Quick Detailer for lubrication. I use this product and it is very good. I did a detailing on pleiades car yesterday and he could not believe how his car looks and feels now.

A warning about clay bar lubricants. They are carcinogenic! Be careful & use gloves. I know alot of things cause cancer, but why not limit yourself to the exposure so yo can drive your Subie for a long, long time. The do work as advertised. Most of the clay comes from Georgia & some place near the Phillipines.

Oh yeah, a good substitute for the clay bar lubricant is mild liquid hand soap. The kind that has the skin softeners in it. I know it sound girlie but it works really well in as a 5-10% solution. I have my employees use Dove so they don't complain about dry hands at the end of a day. They do work hard for me so I try to look out for them.
