Hey there. I have three guages for my MY00RS. They are air to fuel, oil press, and vac/boost. I really need some help, if not in detail instructions on how to do this. The instructions are really confusing and I don't know if I have everything that I need. Thank you very much for the help and your time. Later

The A/F gauge is pretty easy to install, whether you use vampire wire taps or solder is up to you, but you basically need to tap a ground (usually cig lighter), power (usually ignition), and the source or o2 sensor for signal. Being that you have a MY00, you'll need to check which wire to tap at the ECU for o2, I can't remember off the top of my head.
The oil pressure gauge can be tricky, depending on your install. Is it electric or mechanical? There are basically two places people commonly install an oil pressure line: 1) The stock "dummy light" location under the alternator, and 2) A secondary location on top of the block further back on the engine. The second location is the preferred location to use in my opinion, but it will require you picking up a stock "main gallery plug" from a dealership (part# 11024AA210). This will also require some fittings to attach your oil line. There are various sources for these and the install has been discussed at length on this board.
Vac/boost gauge is simple. I'm assuming you don't have a turbo... you simply need to provide power/ground to the gauge for lighting, and then T into a vac line under the hood.
If you want, I can take some pics of my gauge installs and post them for you.

If you are installing an Autometer AF guage you need to use the rear O2 sensor since this guage will not work with a 5V sensor.
The rear O2 sensor will give you strange readings because of the cats.
You best bet is to buy the O2 sensor that matches the guage from Autometer and have a new o2 sensor bung installed before the cats for this sensor.

Thank you very much for the replies!! That would be great it you could email, or post the install that you did. It really sucks that I can't use the stock o2 sensor in the front because it is right there you know? So where would I tap into the exhaust? I have borla headers, random tech hi flow cat and brullen cat back. Thanks again! Later

In the web site, I wrote a detailed step-by-step to install an Autometer oil pressure gauge and an AF meter. I did this back in early 2001. To install the oil pres sensor, I used a custom adapter which I bought from UK, but you do NOT necessarily need to use this part. I believe you can buy an adapter at Pepboys or even from Autometer.
Hope this helps.
