The material is called GRP which stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic. It is another name for fiberglass.

It seems that GRP is a little stronger than glass. Personally, i have curbed my front lip and it is still in one piece. :)

Does LNR make the front lip above for the sedan?? If so, how much??

If this was urathane I would be all over it. Right now its this way: Greddy=sticks out too far but the $$ is right and its urathane. STI Ver.2(or 1)=$$$++. MRO=Love the looks and the $$ but FRP=??. Especially on the front.

The LNR dront lip for the sedan is still under development. We'll let you know once it is released.

You have to understand that this lip is not readily available in the US. Only a select few have the MRO lip here in the US.

You may be one of them! ;)

After looking at the photos of it again on your site, it appears that the lip comes upp by the fog lights. I have foglight covers and was wondering if this lip will interfere with them.

Do you have any guess on the time frame for this? I'll buy it if it's tasteful.

Thanks,

I am not sure. I will try to get a car with fog light covers and test fit it. I'll let you know once I find out.

Sorry, nothing yet.

If there are any local Southern California WRX out there that have no front lip and have fog light covers, please send me an email so we can test fit the lip.

Thanks!

How much for an unpainted MRO lip, shipped to Halifax, NS, Canada, Postal code B3J 2R7? This is the only lip I have found so far that will cover the minor cracks on my front bumper. Oh yeah, I also plant to get fog light covers so I'll need an answer to that question too. Thanks, JC

I agree with this assessment 100%. Plus, its also angled upwards a bit to prevent curbing and flows well into teh sideskirts. Two things would make me feel a lot better about buying this lip...
1. If it was a plastic lip and not fiberglass
2. If I didn't live in Canada and didn't have to worry about snow banks

...which brings me to this... is there any possibility that this lip will ever be offered in plastic?

How easy do these lips come on/off for winter removal? Is there a rubber strip that can be puschased to ensure the lip's upper edge doesn't scratch the side of the bumper?

JC,

Not sure if it will be offered in plastic. These lips are easy to take off. Two screws near the wheel well and two screws under the lip itself. A rubber strip should be redily available at any hardware store to ensure no scratching.

Coquipelao and AspWhtRex .... No word yet but i'll follow-up with LNR. I'll keep you guys posted.

Arthur -

Just got your email re: shipping cost and such. I'm very interested in this. So let me get an idea on local cost for painting, and assess my finances. (Just dropped $900 on EDM STi headlights! )

In the meantime....here's a free bump! :)

Arthur and AutoArtTech are awesome! I purchased an MRO front lip for my 2000 RS and I must say that it is a very well built piece for anyone who is wondering. I, not paying attention, had it completly up on a curb in a parking spot and it only hurt the paint and did not at all damage the glass. One more comment, I used four rivets on the top of the spoiler into the bumper so that the spoiler has some play if it hits anything. I also used some 3M adhesive pieces so that it does not scratch my front bumper when it moves.
