Hello,
I was shopping for a Tacoma/Rangerish type truck and saw a Baja on the lot. I'd never seen one before and was instantly hooked!
I've read reviews for a few days and if anything, everyone says it's underpowered. I'm thinking about getting a manual to make up for it but will miss some features of auto (remote start, easier in traffic, my trick knee, etc)
The auto would be nice, but do you think I need the manual? I currently drive a '96 F150 with an inline 6, 5 spd, 4x4. That's what my current taste of "performance" is. I heard of a rumor'd Baja-T, turbocharging, etc, all "coming soon" of course but I don't really feel like waiting for my Ford to fall apart. I will test drive one this weekend, that might help me decide.
Any other advice for a hopeful Baja owner? Is the 6 cyc version a myth?
BTW, since i forgot to look, where is the spare tire? :D
