Hi. i'm almost a new user on this forum because i own my subaru for couple month only. i'm currently swapping a MY01 RS drivetrain in a MY93 impreza. my 93 was auto, and my 01 is 5 spd, and i have a question about clutch switch. there is a switch for the fully pressed position, wich usualy serve to the starting system, making the car start only when you press the clutch. I discovered that there is a switch for the fully released position too, but didn't find any utility yet. this swap is a lot of job, and I don't want to wire unuseful thing that could lead to problem in the future. Can someone help me ?

thank you, Nic

There is a clutch start interlock switch in the 02's so most likely it is in the earlier ones as well.
The switch at the other end of the clutch travel is for the cruise control, to disengage it when the clutch is depressed.
