All the WRX headrests I've seen use zippers. Take the headrest off your seats and look at the bottom. The zipper ends are tucked in where the masts come out of the cushion. Pie.
MY99~01 2.5RS are really hard. They use plastic tension clasp, so the harder you pull the tighter they get. Like a chinese finger trap. More like a Japanese headrest trap =) No zipper though.

Sure we can do that, no problem.
To omit parts of a design, just use the word "omit" when choosing the 'color'.

Wow! Those look really good! I've actually been thinking that something like that would be cool. I looked at the order form. What are the thread color options? For the shiny polished looking parts do you use a silver or a gray or what?

All of the colors are shiny. Even if you get black, it will shimmer in the sunlight. Chrome ("grey" or "silver") will have you drooling. It's really amazing to look at =)
You can pick any color under the sun. You may also send in a color sample with your order, for me to match. I get as close as possible, I've never had a complaint about mismatched colors.

No we cannot embroider floor mats. Our machines are not that heavy-duty. They're mainly for apparel... cloth, leather, etc.

I haven't done any beige headrests that I can remember. I've done grey though (Honda Civic). I used a light grey and it looks really nice ("H" logo).
I like to use the stock badge of the vehicle. What design did you have in mind? I can photochop it for you.

Another cool 555 fact. Use a scientific calcultor. Make sure it's in Decimal mode. Type in 555. Hit Hex. It turns into 22B!

better go searching for a good version of the logo...but i might also be giving my 03wrx to my sister and getting an 04 for myself (supposed to be her car, but i put in a couple thou and i get her new car money and she gets my "old" car...so i doubt this is possible, but can you embroider any portion of the new seats..if you can what would i have to give to you and what not..?

I can embroider many fabrics. The headrest covers are the easiest for customers to do, and look really good. What you send me is just the covers, not the entire headrest.

You CAN take the fabric off, but its one piece, the whole back of the seat. The "headrests" dont exist since the seats are one piece.

hmm...is that a reaaaly complicated and pita to do? if it's not to bad then maybe i'll do it anyways and it might be better, since the embroidery would probably look better a little lower than where the "headrest"part is, but since the seats are black, i'll probably go with the prodrive logo...sorry for the hassle, but hey i might not get an 04 and have to stick w/ my 03...so i'll let you know, really would like to get this done though :D

The swoosh direction is dictated by the side of the car it's on. The pic I used was the passenger side. But I think your image of the driver's side is more correct, because the SWRT logo swooshes in that same direction.
Full seats are not that complicated but are a pita. I'll have to make sure the entire seat cover will fit into the embroidery machine. If so then we can proceede. I'll post an answer later today.
Well... my opinion.... is mine. I don't always like to give it because everyone has different taste. You should get the design you want. Just walk up to your car with the window down and imagine "a design" on the headrest (or seat in this case). Which design do you see - what does your eye want to see there?
Getting past that... honoring the rally cars is cool and all, but I'd not go with 555. I'd use SWRT or WRX IMPREZA. No matter which you get, its going to look really good!

i was talking to my mom about the one piece situation with the 04 seats, and she suggested this: what if i send you a piece of fabric (probably black, and as close as i can get to the 04 seat pattern, color, etc) then you embroider the logo (probably going with the prodrive :) ) then when i get it back, i cut it out like a patch of sorts and either glue (with fabric glue, which i'm told is very strong) or sew it onto the seats whereever i wish.....will this work and look okay?

Yes that is something that is done a lot, especially for harder materials like backpacks and metal lockers.
The downfall is that I can only give you that patch. The rest is up to you... meaning I can only be responsible for the quality of the patch- not the placement, glue, thread, or sewing method used to keep it on.
The patches have about an inch border around the design with an embossed rim.

I'm not too sure I know what you mean. Starting with the 03s the rear seat has 3 headrests, right (or is it just the wagons)? The middle one doesn't work that well, so lets go with 4 like you asked. sorry to bring this thread back from the dead, but any chance you could do some with the Outback Impreza logo (that's on the back of the OBS)? It's basically just an outback logo with Impreza underneath it in a rectangle. I'll see if I can find a picture(that or I can post a picture of the outback impreza logo on the back of my car). I might be interested if this is possible.
