can any one tell me what would make my car run so hot? on the highway i sit at around 14 on the egt, in boost i hit as high as 16+. im adding gobs of fuel and getting no more then 200 miles to the tank, the highest octane i can get is 92 so ive removed timming. im also feeling little to no boost in high rpms but reading about 9psi. i havent opened my exaust yet, my plugs are ok, my intercooler doesnt get that hot, i have no leaks.... i am ordering a wideban air/fuel meter right away but you'd think that i could get things halfass goin till then. does anyone have any suggestions cuz im fresh out. thanx, jay:(

1600+ Temps.... Dude your in deep $hit if those temps are constant (say bye, bye to your rings)
Don't really know what could be the problem but I would speculate:
-No fuel pump and/or FPR
-No high capacity injectors
-??????
I boost 11-12psis in hot weather (Puerto Rico) as a daily driver, and my temps never go above 1500 (usually between 1400-1450 @ WOT full boost).

i have the walbro pump and the link+. i just found a map someone sent me a while ago that i must have forgoten about and with it i get some boost right up to 6000rpm's and i dont run that hot but it swallows gas worse then ever. so bad that it just fried my plugs. the thing that doesnt make sence to me is that im getting really bad knock, ill try to take away timming and see what that does but id also like to remove fuel. my egt's are sitting at 10 in cruze and 12 at WOT so id imagine theres room to pull lots of fuel from it but pulling fuel = more knock, right? my laptop needs a recharge but im headin out of town for the weekend so ill have to try on sunday or monday

it sounds like you are running way rich, hence why your plugs are fouled. Have you checked your o2 sensor that could be done also. Anyways you could try taking some fuel out, and leaning it out some. Maybe add a little timing after you've taken some fuel out. Anyone else think this could help. just my 2cents.

sorry just noticed you are gonna take out some fuel. my bad. i wouldn't be worried about taking some out, if you still have knocking then, you haven't changed anything, but if you don't then you've helped yourself, just make sure to do it slowly, don't take out too much at once, good luck.
