All of this talk about P1 front lips, copies, and other manufactures, I have a question? What makes one lip better then the next? I know that they are not just for looks, well.. I guess some are. Why is the P1 so much better?

No performance value's to them what-so-ever.

Actually here is a quote from Simon Lines, a Prodrive Rep:
"...the GENUINE P1 front lip has the benefit of actually affecting your aero package, giving negative lift at 100mph from the venturi set in the underside of the lip and venting into the front wheel well.
So there is some performance gain with this lip, although it is not achieved until 100mph.( Or mabye the venting to the wheel well works at all speeds, its not very clear.) Because of the high speed, the performance effects don't apply to those of us not on the track, (Well, at least not all the time, he he he)

and there is a performance gain from waxing your car. The air flow over your car creates less drag. But it's nothing you'll ever see.

You know how it goes.. You see the P1, you want the lip, then you realize you can't have it... It doesn't take much to create desire... If you can't have it, it just makes you want it more.. I'm going to hold out until someday I will finally be able to get the P1 lip... and if it means I have to move to the UK and buy a P1, live there for a year, bump the lip, get a new one, ship it home to the US and move back..
