How would one go about tuning a stage 2 UTEC setup while adding an up-pipe?
Right now I have
PDe down pipe
greddy cat-back exhaust
blitz sbc i-d
perrin short ram
I have a stage 2 UTEC program and I would like to know how to go about tuning for the addition of a PDE up-pipe?
Also would it be better if i download a map to match my setup? or will the stage 2 work just as well with my setup?
Thanks!
would appreciate input

Well i thought about it for a minute....and i dont think you need to do anything. The boost come's on sooner/quicker, but you don't need to change the timing or fuel. You might need to lower the gain on your boost controller to prevent spiking due to the quicker spool, but nothing is really needed to change on the UTec. The timing can be left the same because your boost can/should be the same. I'm running a stg II map advanced another 1 degree across the board, all running at the reccomended 16.5psi and no knock. Thats with exhaustdepot uppipe, ex.dep. downpipe, blitz spec s, and samco ic hose. Ya Just use the stg II and you'll be fine.

There is a map for a 'Stage II plus PDE up-pipe' at wrxhackers.com that works well. It's set up for open loop boost, so if you're using closed loop you will have to come up with your own boost numbers. The intake will probably affect your map as well.

Ya but he is using a blitz sbc i-d for boost control, so the boost settings on the utec mean nothing to him. otherwise you'd be right though.

i was told by txs that adding an uppipe will not change the mappping. it kinda makes sense because if you look on their site at the staged ktis it lists an uppipe as an 'option' but doesn't list any additional maps to work with an uppipe.
but i would verify that with txs by calling them. they are very helpful:disco:
