Ok maybe I am just not looking hard enough. Does ANYONE out there make a strut tower brace set for a '99 Legacy Outback? I have tried Whiteline, Allsubaru.com, Subaruparts.com, etc.. and nothing. Does anybody know if these even exist? Thanks for any help.

Whiteline does make a strut brace for the Legacy. It is the one made for the GC8. I have the front one right now. Steering response kicks @$#. I am going to test fit the one for the WRX wagon rear on my car next week.
Cobb also makes a set but they are pricey. Oh yeah Cusco has braces also. They are out there. Here are some sites...

Just out of curiousity (and my stupidity), but doesn't a front strut tower brace induce understeer? Or does it just stiffen up the front for better handling? I know I must be wrong somewhere.

well. this has been debated many times. But on my car even with the suspension the way it is(stock) understeer is not induced. I have found that my front end has stiffened up alot, and steering response is better also.

Just an update for KilrWagn on the WRX Wgon rear strut bar. Yes it fits and it is a huge improvement. I love how stiff the car feels with it.

yeah dude go Whiteline. They are the best bang for the buck, and they really match the persona of our cars. I'll let you know when I get my 22mm rear sway bar installed. Talk to ya later...

How about Cusco? Sure, they're more expensive, but that dark blue looks kinda cool. :p Otherwise, I don't think it would make a difference whether you get a Cusco or Whiteline strut tower bar (right, guys??).

They are expensive and don't really fit as well as the Whiteline. The Whiteline rear strut brace is the only one made that you can keep the caps, that seal up the top of the strut, on. Thats why I went with Whiteline. But either way is just fine. Cusco or whiteline there is no difference.
