Im deciding between the clutch and flywheel OR 4 pot brakes.

When I shift fast my clutch slips and I am getting VERY sick of the shuddering clutch too.

Would I need to purchase anything else other than the clutch and flywheel if I plan to do this with a friend (mechanic)??

How much power can the sport clutch for 2.5RS hold? I have a turbo and currently put down 200hp to the wheels but plan on getting a bit more power out of it in the near future. Nothing crazy though, 250 to the wheels is my goal. Anything else you'd reccommend?

For 250 at the wheels, I think you will have issues with any of the aftermarket RS's clutch, including ACT. On my own turbo RS, running mid 12's netted me an average of about 14k miles between clutch changes (this is about 3 years ago now) - that (and the broken 1st gear from trying the ACT 4 puck after their standard version let go!) is what prompted me to do the STi tranny swap wayback then, and its one of the best decisions I made.

ACT should do the job for you, but again, I cannot suggest how long it may last. Price on the ACT is $405.00 + shipping

The Exedy Sport clutch is not just a clutch right? It's also a pressure plate too, isn't it?

Also, I keep reading the clutch is pretty much the same as stock, the 27% is all in the pressure plate clamping force?

A clutch is a unit, consisting of pressure plate and disk. The Exedy clutch kit includes the pressure plate (which has 27% more clamp than stock), new disk, alignment tool, and throw out bearing. The disk is very similar to the OEM disk...which in and of itself is excellent in material and durability. The "holding power" or strength of any clutch is in it's pressure plate, not in the disk.

The flywheel is extra,a nd it is what the disk clamps against.

how much grippier is the exedy sport for an RS over the stock clutch. I need a new clutch soon and so far it's between it and the stocker.. Any other suggestions for a long life clutch. Doesn't have to hold much more power than what the stock one is capable of just don't want to replace clutches every other year...

Is the exedy flywheel the only flywheel you carry? Any preference reason if it is the only one you carry? I'm also in the market for a new flywheel. :)

The Exedy Sport clutch would be an ideal choice for you, as its 27% more holding power than stock, but still has a nice light pedal. For a daily driven car, its really the perfect upgrade.

As for flywheels, yes Exedy is all we carry for a very simple reason: it is 1 piece billet chromoly. We have had bad luck in the past with the aluminum units (which are 2 piece), as they tend to be too light for street use (making it harder to pull away from a dead stop), as well as much poorer at dissipating heat. lastly, becuase its a 2 piece unit, the friction material is literally bolted to the flywheel "mass" - I have seen these rivets come loose and wreak havoc, so we made a decision to stick with the 1 piece units.

do you carry a twin disk clutch for the STi 6 speed? Will this hold 550+ whp?

Yes we carry the twin disk, should be good for around 650 hp on an STi. Comes with integrated lightweight flywheel as well - very nice unit.
