i am currently overstocked on the wrx enclosures, about 12 of each. so to make room i have lowered the price a bit in hopes of moving some more enclosures...

all 10" trunk enclosures are $170 shipped, this includes the wrx wagon/sedan, and GC8 coupe/sedan.

as i said, only the wrx products are in stock, but i do have a quick turn around if you need the GC8 products.

also, i still make the 8" stealth side panel enclosures for the GC8 coupes if anyone is interested. turn around is about a week on each pair. as always all my products come with a full money back warranty if you are unhappy with your purchase.

However make sure your woofer fits into a 9" hole as mine requires a 9.5" hole due to it's large cast basket.

when i designed the side panel 8" enclosures i really only wanted to have one. but after testing, i found that 2 were necessary to have any amount of bass. so now, i only sell them in pairs. it just isnt worth the upgrade in sound to only have 1 of them. the pair shipped is $300, with all grills and necessary mounting hardware.

Yes! Please make one that fits the wagon spare tire will and still allows a spare under it. Or just make one that makes you remove the spare. I got a wagon to have all that space, and a stealth drop-in for the spare tire well would sell well, I think.

I could care less for retaining the spare tire. I'm really looking for a 12" enclosure, centered in the middle of the trunk area. Its gotta be easily removeable.
The rolling diameter of my rim and tire setup makes the spare a poor option in case of a flat.

I've been quoted some absurd prices for something like this. Once you get a mold I'm sure it would be easy to mass produce these and provide them for a low cost and still be profitable. I was going to try to do this myself but something about hot runny chemicals in my trunk wasn't too appealing, I also don't think I could get the airspace right.

the spare enclosure is still in the works, i just have to get time to do so. i'll keep everyone posted on the subject. i have been working to save to get a fiberglass chop gun, and other items necessary to start mass producing fiberglass enclosures. it will just take time.

wr xplosive- the enclosure has a terminal cup on the back, so it can be removed. the big factor with that is how you choose to hold it down. normally i supply screws so that it can be mounted permanently, however some have used industrial strength velcro to hold it down with no ill effects. use of the velcro would enable you to remove it when necessary.

which enclosure are you looking at for the W7's??? as they sit, no it wont fit, however if you still want a W7 in one of my enclosures i will work it out for you. basically i would add a 1" baffle to the enclosure to gain the needed depth, then recarpet over the addition, i would just need to know ahead of time. no charge of course.

the enclosures can be retrofitted to accept a 10W7, but a 13W7 is 100% a no go :) a spacer plate has to be made to add depth for the 10W7, and a 13W7 is like another 2" deeper than that. sorry, no go on anything larger than a 10W7. as for the airspace, all the enclosures are .9 cu ft, if you need something bigger you will have to have a custom enclosure made.

a custom enclosure would probably be best built by a specialty shop in your area. it is always easier to build such an enclosure with the vehicle present and face to face with the customer.

as i told kwyjibo earlier in PM, if you are not dead set on the W7, i would highly suggest the 10W6V2 as an alternative. i have personally heard awesome sound from that woofer and my enclosure.

yes as stated, a 12" enclosure is not available, nor are left and right side enclosures. each vehicle has a form fitted enclosure for one side or the other, but not both.

sorry about the websites, the evo-auto page hasnt been finished yet, kinda been on the back burner, and the subee-sound page i hadnt updated in quite some time, so i let it go down when the time came up.

worwrx, do a search, you'll find pics from people that have installed my enclosures, i have no idea why you wouldnt trust my pics, but what ever floats your boat. installation takes about 1 minute with the proper tools. set in place, and then screw down from the inside with the supplied hardware.

I've had my wagon enclosure for well over a year and I've had zero issues. It still sounds excellent and has never moved. It's even taken the abuse of cargo, dogs, etc with no wear.

Installation might be fairly tough for those who are unable to work a screwdriver.

Kevin is the man! Talk about customer service!!! My box is being loaded as we speak, and I will be able to comment on how great it sounds next week!

I got my enclosure for my 04 wrx sedan...and it fits like a glove. I just have one question. How do you guys keep the box from moving around? I saw that screws were included, but i can't seem to figure out where to put the screws? I am afraid that if i put it at the wrong spot, I'll drill the screws all the way out to the side of the car and mess up the paint. As of right now the box is in and is being keep in place by the trunk arm. I was think of using velcro or something of that nature to keep it shug against the side of the trunk. I hope i am making sense.

pics have been sent. as for woofer suggestions, i havent heard anyone say any certain sub doesnt sound good in these enclosures. only one i would stay away from would be the 10W7, as it is physically to large for the enclosure, and your power wouldnt be enough. however, all of the other JL woofers would work well for you in this application.

the sti enclosure will more than likely be on the drivers side, behind the wheel well, similar to what i have right now, just a different side. almost 99% sure the new enclosures will all be fiberglass, just gotta get the specifics worked out.

i have a wrx sedan and i know you only have 10" enclosures, but i'm wondering whether my idq12 can fit in there. the mounting depth is very shallow and the recommended sealed enclosure size is .65 - 1.00 cu. ft., which should be within the .90 you've quoted elsewhere. i think the only issue is whether the 12" diameter would conflict in some way? let me know please, by email or pm. thanks a lot.

sorry, a 12" woofer will not fit in any of my enclosures. the baffle height on the 10" enclosures, isnt even 12" high.

the website has never been finished fully, i just leave the link under my name. there is a link further up the page that i posted that has pics of the enclosures on it, check that out and you'll see the pics you are looking for. as for the enclosure, it is a single 10" enclosure, sealed, about .9 cu ft total. pretty much any woofer will work in it, i have yet to hear of a woofer that doesnt perform well in my enclosure. personally, the best woofer i have tested in the enclosure is the JL 10w6v2.

for some reason the site for the pics is down, i'll have to call my friend to see why. the 02 sedan enclosure for a L710 is $170 shipped. the enclosure secures with a few screws from the inside down into the car.

It's for my 03 wagon

the STi enclosure has come to a halt until i get a STi in my hands. the problem with living in omaha NE is that there are very few STi's around, and the one i have access to, the owner doesnt like to not drive it, go figure. so i have to wait for him to let me borrow it. i keep getting told in a week or so, or in 2 weeks, but nothing ever pans out. rest assured, once i get it, it wont take long though.

there are no plans for a 12" enclosure at this point, only 10's, sorry.

the website has never been finished fully, i'm not a web guy, so i have to rely on others for that also. however, i think i have found someone new to do it, so i hope it wont take to long to get finished.

pics are available via a link that can be found further up in this topic.

enclosure volume is appx .9 cu ft, and is made of 1/2 mdf that is braced, with a 3/4" baffle. i dont honestly know if i have a pic of the back side of the box or not, i'll have to check. the only finish i have available is carpet. i can send it out un-carpeted if you would like to finish it yourself.

the GB is mainly because i have 20 something enclosures in my garage right now taking up space.

Would it be possible to see a 12" enclosure from you in the future. Problem is I already have a 12" and amp, so I would rather wait to see if 12" boxes are possible in the future (For an STi).

i would have to imagine that a 2004 wrx trunk would be the same as the 04 sti trunk, at least on the driver side. id love nothing more than to make an sti enclosure, however i havent gotten any time with an sti yet, and i honestly dont know anyone with an 04 wrx. i'll check around though and see what i can find.

From what I gather, it seems the same as the '02/'03 WRX as well. I can take a picture of that side of the trunk tomorrow, if you'd like. :)

Kevin, here are the pictures of the trunk. I have higher res shots if you want, and I can take any measurements that you need. I know that the trunk from the '02-'04 WRX swaps over to the STi, so the trunk lift bars will be in the same place.

so even though the rear ends change from 02/03-04, the insides are still the same. that is good news. and here ive been waiting for an sti, when all along all i needed was a wrx :)

No problem, Kevin. I believe Subaru only slightly changed the rear bumper/tail lights, as the rest of the panels appear to be identical. Are you going to be making the box out of MDF or fiberglass? Let me know when it's ready... I'll buy one. :p

havent decided yet on construction. i thought originally about all fiberglass, but that area looks pretty flat, so MDF may work also. MDF would definetly be cheaper, i'll just have to take a look and then decide. i also think that being that the jack is there, that i should look at doing a removeable install, maybe the industrial strength velcro would be best for this enclosure, instead of screws.

If you go with the velcro idea, be sure to include enough for the bottom side of the carpet. After the first day hearing the box fall over with my current 10" box and velcro (heh it would lift up the carpet with it), I decided to just bracket the thing in behind the seats. :p
