Well... I guess I want to have this thread open for the first person, a GC owner, who buys a set of '04 WRX seats off a '04 owner trading up for racing shells.

I want to know how they fit. :) I know there's a potential concern about the side airbags, but somehow this concern was dealt with with the '02/'03 WRX seat swaps, as they had side airbags too.

Except those people who put '02/'03 RS seats into their GC Imprezas. I think they were almost the same as the '02/'03 WRX seats, but without the side airbags. Does anyone know if the '04 RS will have the same seats the '04 WRX has, but again just be without airbags? Because that'd be the path of least resistance!

I just know that a used set will be cheaper than a set of aftermarket seats, and I won't have to fuss with bracket purchases.

In the brochure that i have, the MY04 RS have what looks like last years seats in them. I think only the WRX and STI get the new seats that are sooooo nice. I don't really see why they would fit into the GC's, may sit a little high though as the MY02/03 did, so i hear. Hope that helps.

Yes I know that the old (HAH!!! '02 and '03s are now old! :lol: ) seats were tall in the GC, but then again I wonder if people were using the new brackets, and not the GC ones??

I know that the '04 OBS uses what looks like the '03 RS seats. Hmm. We'll see what pans out. :)
