Like the title says, I need a source for a complete wrx drivetrain. I have been talking with LaChute, and they are very good, but I wanted to know of any others?

Crawford/I-Speed 04-15-2003, 07:35 PM There are plenty of places to get your conversion parts from; salvage yards and auction sites like ebay are good starts. Before you commit to anything please be aware of what you are getting into. I have heard many horror stories from people who bought parts that were either broken or incomplete. When you buy parts always ask or verify the following: How many miles are on the parts? What kind of accident did the donor car have? Do the parts need to be “re-worked” (re-built)? Do I get a warranty? Did you do a compression test? Can I see what numbers you pulled? (Always nice to get stuff in writing:) ) These questions are always helpful. If the person cannot or will not answer these basic things then perhaps you may want to consider why he/she is selling the stuff so cheap;) Keep yourself informed and remember CASH is king:D Chris geronimo66 04-16-2003, 08:28 PM nobody knows where to get a motor? North Ursalia 04-16-2003, 08:32 PM Well, you apparently don't, so I'd surmise there are other people out there who also don't ;). AV Sport, VT Sportscar, and Rallispec can also source parts for you or do the conversion. This is especially great if you need a lot of little parts and accessories to go along with your swap too. |
