Hows about a "blue book value" sticky thread, that, when a car is bought / sold through the forum, the price can be posted up along witha a brief synopsis of the car? I think this would help a few people when pricing their own cars, and buyers would have a guideline of market value.

Hi, I am selling my 2004 Subaru Impreza STi for $ 24,750...:disco: The car is in excelent condition (inside and out) is blue with silver wheels. The car has 21k miles on it from going back and forth from Georgia to Florida and the oil has been changed every 3k with Mobile 1 Synthetic oil and puroilator premium oil filter. The car has some after market performance parts on it but as far as the Subaru dealer knows it is still under factory warrenty. The stock parts will be included in sale. This STi runs GREAT sounds GREAT and is VERY fast! Here is a list of $4500 in mods...

Inside of car:

-Alpine cd head unit CDA 9831
-Boston Pro component speakers in rear doors

Ok, so I have an etiquette question: If someone lists a car for sale, say for $13k, and you pm and email them saying "Yep, sounds good, I'll give you $13k!" and then they wait a day to tell you that it's listed on Ebay now, didn't expect as much interest on NASIOC, you can "buy it now" for $14k if you like.

Is this normal or should I be pissed? Not like it makes a shred of difference if I'd be pissed, but just curious on the etiquette there.

2003 Subaru Impreza WRX, Sonic Yellow. 5 speed manual transmission, 103k miles. Power windows, door locks, and mirrors. Cruise control, keyless entry, tinted windows (done two summers ago), brand new tires (Falken FK 452s just bought them on 4/11/08 and had them aligned as well) and Rota wheels (will include stock ones with balding tires). Car is stock minus an aftermarket up-pipe.

I just had new front and rear brake pads put on toward the end of March. I also replaced the radiator at about 98k with an STi radiator. I have stainless lines that will be thrown in since I didn’t get a chance to install them. And 2 Defi gauges with a gauge mounting pod also thrown in.
The previous owner changed the up pipe. The car has a brand new stock clutch. The car has never seen an increase in boost or ECU tuning.

The car has been meticulously maintained and babied. Mobil 1 engine oil every 3k, Redline diff and Scotty's tranny cocktail. All maintenance is up to date, including the 90k tune up. The car runs absolutely perfect and there is not a single mechanical thing wrong with it. The paint is in great shape with a few little door dings.

Here’s a list of everthing that has been done to it:

New stock clutch and resurfaced stock flywheel.
Changed the rear main seal when he did the clutch.
New clutch slave and master.
There was a tiny bit of oil around it (the guy was picky).
Catless up pipe with EGT sensor rewired with 2.2 kOhm fix.
Changed all the fluids at 90k including the Scotty's mix in the tranny and redline in the rear diff.
Always Mobil-1 10w-30 in the engine.
Changed the plugs with NGK coppers at that time too. Need to do those more often than the platinums but it seems to run a little better.
There is a EGT hole drilled and tapped on the driver side manifold.

That's about it. There is a few other maintenance things like the PVC valve. Everything suggested for the 90k tune up was done minus the brake fluid because I hadn't changed the lines.

I am selling my WRX. It is a 2002; rally blue color. Manual transmission. Less than 58,000 miles. I am asking $14,000 for it, but it's negotiable. It is in great condition. The car is lowered and has an upgraded exhaust. Everything else is stock. I also have the rear spoiler on it.
