I apologize if this topic has been brought up before. I've done a search but couldn't find exactly what I was looking for. I own a 2002 WRX and am in the process of buying a 2000 Forester. Looking around my garage the other day I noticed that I have an awful lot of WRX parts lying around. I was curious on the feasibility of turboing my forester with the stock turbo from the WRX.

I have searched for information on the Forester chassis, but I need confirmation on the following points. Will the turbo legacy or WRX crossmember fit on the forester. I have or am buying the following parts. Any suggestions for other things needed would be helpful. I don't mind bleeding the WRX for parts, it's going in the garage for awhile as I save up for a turbo, intercooler, etc for it. Well, here's my current list.

WRX manifolds
vishnu uppipe (making a spacer is no problem, work in a machine shop).

WRX downpipe and catback
WRX turbo
WRX intercooler ( don't mind modifying it, see above comment about machine shop )
Voltage clamp for the MAP
RRFPR
J&S safeguard.
I assume that I can use the WRX fuel pump.
Water pump off WRX.

I would also assume that doing the parallel fuel rails mod off scoobymods would also be advisable.

What other hoses and fitting would I need. I'm aware that I would need to run oil lines from the high pressure side of the motor to the turbo, and then return to the block. I assume I will have to buy new hoses for this purpose. i couldn't find by searching what I should do with the coolant hoses. Are there any other fittings that I would need to make this project work?

Just like turbo'ing an RS. Move this to aftermarket induction for all the right answers...

If by rumors you mean things that Subaru of America has already announced and shown then you are correct.

And I agree that you'll probably get more/better answers in the Aftermarket Forced induction forum.

I posted it there, but someone moved it here. I've pm'd a moderator in aftermarket forced induction to have it moved back. td04 must of set off some flag.
