Also, how much is a used wrx gauge cluster anyway. Thanks. Hyper 04-22-2003, 09:09 PM PITA lot of cutting, trimming http://www.subaruauto.ru/images/DSCN0806.jpg it had to be done in this car, because the owner got V7 drivetrain and so wiring would be a bi0tch with RS cluster Soon2Bgreat 04-22-2003, 09:13 PM so all it is, is some cutting and trimming of the dash. How well does it fit now, pretty snug. Hyper 04-22-2003, 09:32 PM "some"? oh no:alien: the cluster itself has different shape and points for screws, so the top part had to be custom made Soon2Bgreat 04-22-2003, 09:57 PM oh, well then, it is now officially out of the question. Looks good though.:) RebelINS 04-22-2003, 10:39 PM I can imagine the amount of work that went into making that fit, but I would agree that that looks really nice! -Wes Hyper 04-22-2003, 11:28 PM yeah, from fall to winter little OT, but quite interesting this is the only GC8 with STI 7 drivetrain in Russia, with all mods it's kicking ~320hp and acceleration is 4.8 secs to 100kms/h soon to be done FMIC and fuel management:D rocketman1 10-28-2003, 04:47 PM did you ever get any other pics of dash...? RUBEN 11-18-2003, 06:01 PM did the cluster plug in or did you have to modify the harness stimpy 11-19-2003, 01:34 PM The instrument panel harness will have to be deciphered then changed to use your existing wiring with the correct plugs. -Jon PUMPKINS 11-23-2003, 12:00 AM have noob question here: so if i use GD drivetrain.. i have 2 use GD cluster and vice versa?? can i fit all GD dash to GC?? Homemade WRX 11-23-2003, 01:26 AM well no and no and yes and yes....You can use the GD chassis with a GD gauge if you choose...but no you don't have to because the speedsensor trigger is mechanical in both cases. The gauge can fit obviously as shown in the picture above but no it is not a direct fit....It requires cutting,etc..... Take it easy, Micah FatCatTurbo 01-29-2004, 02:21 PM Micah, the speedsensor is mechanical on the GC and the GD? Homemade WRX 01-29-2004, 07:12 PM no the speedsensor is mechanical on the 93-96 impreza's...98+ are all electrical PRODRIVEN 01-30-2004, 07:04 PM What kind of triple gauge is that? Homemade WRX 01-30-2004, 07:08 PM It's an STI gauge cluster from a GD impreza Hyper 01-30-2004, 08:39 PM Is it?
