There is a way to install the RS with a manual. There is a wire for the shifter that is a neutral saftey. You run the black/white cutoff switch wire to this. Basicly if the car is in gear it sends a neg signal to the wire preventing it from starting. But I didnt tell you that;) . P.S the alarm is sick I install them all the time, and they retail for about $500. Greal price!

I really want this alarm, but if they are going to charge $800 to install just because it is a clifford, that's unreasonable! Do you think the chances of me finding an installer at a reasonable price is good? I live in the LA area, I've been through this before where I buy it online, then none of the shops want to install it because I didn't buy it from them.

Like I said earlier on the thread, I will have mine installed with TT feature for $100.00 this saturday and will let everyone from LA are how it goes. ...yes, Los Angeles area. So get this alarm from Modified!

SWAT is waiting for an outcome of my Alarm install too.

Personally, I really dont care about the TT and the auto start features. All I care about is it's two way functionality, vibrating alert and sound alert.

The guy is from City of Industry. The same guy who installed my suspension. Same guy who will install my turbo-back and all other things. Same guy who owns and built an EVO IV JDM RHD. But yes, I will post a review about the Alarm install.

Let me reiterate that he works by himself so you know the quality is there.

Just how cheap he does all the works?

LA area brake pad labor = $20.00/per wheel
The guy (Eigen Engineering) = $15.00/ for all four wheel

Do you know what range the remote has? 1/4mile, 1 mile?
Also on the TT function can you set the time the engine stays on or is it a preset time?
thanks

cnk
05-06-2003, 01:51 AM
1/4 mile, but range depends on mounting location of the transceiver and buildings/obstacles. The timer function is preset for 12, 24, and 60 minutes, but can be set to any time interval between 1-60 minutes by the installer using a BitWriter.

thanks Read the review and why the Timer is not the Turbo Timer. The Valet Mode will function as the TT but you have to turn it off manually by a remote.

more and more, i find i really need an alarm inspite of the sleepy town i live in. just today, i discovered that the cd player in my beater civic was jacked. prior to that, the fog lights off my wrx. i have an autolock pro, so i think the car will deter casual thieves, but both times this has happened either in my driveway or just to the side of the house.

Pics aren't working. :(

I have a question about this alarm. I used to have a Clifford on my ITR before I traded it in. I was in a hurry so I didn't swap the alarm to my WRX. Either way, wondering if this alarm has the "in-car" keypad you must know to start the car. Even with the remote and key you couldn't start my ITR with the Clifford. Also my Clifford had anti-carjacking so that if my car was running and the door opened, the alarm triggered when it was closed if you didn't hit the keypad. About a minute later the alarm would go off and the car would die. Definately kickass.
